Show the poster of the food festival and encourage the students to ask and answer with the object clauses as much as possible.
Step 2 . Pre-listening
1. Show the picture of 1a. Teach the new words.
2. Talk about what the hosts will say in the opening ceremony.
3.Ask the students to read the form in 1b and predict the answers.
Step 3 . While-listening
Play the tape recording of 1a. and fill in the blanks in1b.
Step 4 . Post-listening
1. follow the tape and read 1a aloud.
2. Show some pictures. Ask the students to act as hosts according to the following situations.
3. Show the picture of 2a. Play the tape recording of 2a to check the answers.
4. Ask the students to read 2a again and underline the expressions about dinning out. And then make up conversations to practice.
5. Ask the students to fill in the blanks in 2b.
