II Presentation:
1. Picture showing.通过直观教学图片展示，提高学生的学习兴趣，问题切入：
What do you know about? Do you know anything about dinosaurs, Diogenes and Walt Disney?
2. Ask students to look at the pictures and try to complete the exercise.
III: Short stories.
1.Read the story and answer the questions.通过英语故事 “Mickey Mouse And Donald Duck.”及Three Pigs Build A House的阅读进一步培养学生学习英语的兴趣
2.Retell the story with the help of the questions. 通过对故事的复述培养学生的语言表达能力。

教学反思：牛津英语教学是以任务型学习为基础，以学生为主体，培养学生语言交际能力的新型教学模式。
牛津英语的教学理念是以学生为主体进行学习，在老师教学过程中要注重与学生的交流，让学生去学会学习，调动和发挥学生的主体性，培养他们的语言交际能力。在教学过程中，注重与学生的交流，开展以学生为中心的互动式教学。本课时是Chapter5的第一课时，可以看作是Chapter5的读前热身活动。我在备课时注重的是有效激活学生的已有知识，充分调动学生对本章节的学习兴趣，为后面几个课时的学习做好铺垫。如在上新课前我依据课文的主要内容和篇章结构设置一些导向性的课堂提问Do you know anything about
dinosaurs? Do you know anything about Diogenes ? Do you know anything about
Walt Disney? 通过提问引导学生对课文内容进行预测和讨论，激活学生相关的知识网络，使学生产生强烈的阅读课文的愿望,同时给学生进行必要的背景知识介绍帮助学生顺利地阅读 Chapter5 课文并开拓学生的视野，扩大他们的知识面。我又在网上找了几则英语小故事“Mickey Mouse And Donald Duck.”，“Snow White”及Three Pigs Build A House通过英语故事的阅读与复述进一步培养学生学习英语的兴趣及语言表达能力。
一、优点及可取之处：
1．激励机制。，积极鼓励发言，动脑运用英语。
2. 创设各种情景，鼓励学生大胆地使用英语，对他们在学习过程中的失误和错误采取
宽容的态度。
3．鼓励学生通过体验、实践、合作、探索等方式，发展听、说、读、写的综合能力。
4．采用任务型教学途径，设计了环环相扣的几个任务，让学生反复运用所学知识去解
决实际问题，给学生一种紧迫感，集中精神听讲，不分散注意力。
5．课堂容量大，给学生充分展示自己的机会，达到了预期效果。
二、不足之处：
（一）学生方面：学生课堂回答和举手的面还小；部分差生拼读单词有难度；学生学习习惯的养成还需加强。
（二）教师自身：
1. 时间把握上有待改进
2．因为学生的层次不一，不能做到面面俱到。
总之，在教学工作中，我有得有失，我将努力学习，积极进取，积极参与课程改革，在课改中不断学习，不断实践，不断反思，更新教学观念，迎接新课改的挑战。我坚信，一分耕耘，一分收获，不求每个学生都成才，只求让他们能快乐的说英语，听英语，用英语。
