Aims: 本课属于反思和总结课型。是新课改主张的学习方法之一。本节课主要任务要完成学生的自我评价,对本单元的语法、词汇等作总结。学生要了解本单元主导的学习方法,自觉进行知识概况和总结。对话题“camps”的活动、文化背景等有一定的了解。
Important points:Words that can describe a person,the past tense, the present perfect tense
Step 1. Tense revision
A. Review the structure of the past tense.
▪ Have the students sit in groups.
▪ Study the structures of the future tense.
▪ Try to write down the structures by themselves.
▪ The teacher show the structures on screen.
B. Review the structure of the present perfet tense.
▪ Have the students sit in groups.
▪ Study the structures of the future tense.
▪ Try to write down the structures by themselves.
▪ The teacher show the structures on screen.
C. Sum up the adverbial modifiers of the past tense and the present perfect tense.
▪ Have the students find the modifiers in the readings, dialogues and so on.
▪ Mark down the results.
▪ Report it to the class.
(教学建议:教师不应该直接向学生总结以上的时态或词汇,而应该引导学生们自行总结,培养自学能力。)
Step 2. Word revision
A. Sum up some words to describe a person.
adj. tall, fat, lovely, ugly, thick-bearded, small-eyed, fair
helpful, friendly
▪ Have the students sit in groups of four.
▪ Write down the words they can think of to describe a person.
▪ See which group can get the most words.
▪Make sentences with the words.
B. Can you use other words to describe a person?
▪ Have the students guess which words can be used to describe the persons in the pictures.
▪ Show the answers on the screen.
▪ Sum up the way of word building:
Small-eyed, big-eyed, short-haired, etc.
