Step 1 Revision
Review the method we learnt in the last Unit1
Guess the meaning of a word by its formation
When we read and come across new words,we can sometimes guess their meaning by the way they are formed
Sometimes a prefix or a suffix changes the meaning of a word

When you read a newspaper, you should skim the headlines first. They will tell you the topic of each title.
Step 3 Presentation
A Read the newspaper headlines below. Pay attention to the tense and the words left out.

Newspapers use a special style of writing. Usually the most important information — the who, what, where, when and how — comes first in an article. The details come next, from the most important details to the least important ones.
Finish the exercise B on page 89.
Find a newspaper and read it according to you’ve learned.
