Teaching procedure:
Step 1 Review
1. Ask the students to act out how to ask and show the way. Make dialogs in pairs. Ask like this :Could you tell me the way to ...?
2. Teacher prepares some cards with some traffic rules and traffic signs before class. Show then to the students to make some discuss. For example “No parking”, let students discuss its meaning and where you can see it.
Step 2 presentation
1. Teacher: Could you tell me the way to Kangkang’s home ? We want to celebrate his birthday. Learn the new word: celebrate
2. Teacher: when is Kangkang’s birthday?
Listen to the tape and find out the answer to the question May the thirteenth.
3. Listen again and repeat. Then find out the key words.
4. practice in pairs.
5. Ask the students to count from 1 to 100 . and ask several students to count in groups to form a contest.
6. listen to the tape and follow it.
7. Lead students to find out the rules of turning cardinal numbers into cardinal numbers. Remind students of paying attention to: first, second , third ,fifth, eighth, ninth, twelfth , twentieth.
8. The students listen to 3b and read for several times .make sure each student can read the twelve months.
Step 3 consolidation
1. ask and answer like this :
A: “what’s the first month of the year ?”
B: it’s January!
A: “What’s the second month of the year?”
B: It’s ..
2.Pair work . Do it like this:
A: January!
B: It is the first month of the year.
A: September!
B: It is the ninth month of the year.
3. Practice 3a in pair.
4. Ask the students to read 3b for several times ,make sure each student can read moths and days.

1.Learn cardinal number and ordinal numbers from one to one hundred.
2. Talk about the dates.
Teaching procedure:
step 1 review
1. ask one of the students to give a free talk to say something about the date. For example: I’m on duty today ,Today is …. It’s my birthday.
2. a chain work again. count from 1 to 100,say “pass” instead of the numbers with 8 in them and multiple of 8.
Step2 presentation
1. ask and answer like this:
a: when is your birthday?
B: it’s …
A: when were you born?
A: I was…
2. present the new phrase be born.
3. listen to 1a and answer the following questions:
1).when was she born?>
2).when was her daughter born?
3).where was her daughter born?
4.practice 1a in pairs.
Step 3
1. practice 1b in pairs.
2. the students finish 1c by themselves and the teacher checks the answers.
3. read to after the teacher.
Step 4 practice
1. the students finish 3a according to the model and the teacher checks the answers.
2. the teacher shows the students some cards with some kinds of information to practice.let then practice like this: Maria was born on July the twelfth.
3. pair work. finish 3b.

1. sum up the language points.
2. written work.. ask the students to say something about their own ages,

1. describe the shapes, colors, size about objects.
2. master the following useful expressions:

(3) how long is it? It’s 20 centimeters long.
Teaching procedure:
Step1
1. check the homework.
2. A free talk. Talk about the date today, own birthdays and so on.
Step 2
1. suppose that you will sent a student a birthday present. Let the students guess what it is by asking questions:
What’s the shape of the present?
What color is it?
2.learn the new word “shape”.
3. listen to 1 and answer the following questions:
What’s the shape of your present?
What color is it?
Answers:
(1) it’s round.
(2) It’s black and white.
4 . listen again and repeat. Then find out the key words.
5.pratice 1 in pairs according to the key words.
Step 3
1. write the new words in 2a on the blackboard . read after teacher for several times. Make sure each student can read them.
2. work alone: describe the objects. For example :
this is my pencil-box. It is green and blue . it is a rectangle…
3. pair work: Practice more after the model in 2b.
Step 4
1. class activities: guess a riddle.
2. homework: describe something you are familiar with.

Step 2
Listen and fill out the table. The students finish 2 by themselves and the teacher checks the answers.
Step3
1. show the students some cards, let them ask and answer according to the information in the cards. for example:

2. the students use their own cards to practice in pairs.
Step 4
1. sum up language points.
