And ask the Ss to help rewrite the sentences by using “if” or “whether” to make object clauses by themseleves. 2. To check the answers. To ask five students to read the

Explantion to the grammar1. When an object clause expresses a “Y

8、es or No” question.We can use “if” or “whether” to join the sentence .The conjactions “if ” and “whether” can be used instead of each other. However “whether” can be used with “or not” ,while “if” cannt be used with “ or not”. After a preposition ,we can only use “whether” .In that clause, we often
