本模块的中心话题是“城市生活,内容涉及“观看戏剧表演” “介绍不夜成纽约”等。

First I will show the pictures on the screen of the computer.The students will look at the picture and talk about it in pairs.

They will read the words and the sentences and make sure they can undersatnd them.Then listen to the tape and finish them.Finally work in pairs.

一.Warming-up/Lead-in
(Activity 1 This is a brain storm about entertainment.The students can speak some related words as many as possible.)
I will show some pictures about entertainment .
I may ask the following questions like this:
1.Look at the pictures.Say what type of entertainment or sport they can see?
2.Think of other words which they can use to talk about the photo.
二Activities 2,3 and 4
(We’ll do this for thes tudents in order to know about the entertainment and places of New York,including sports items,movies,jazz,plays,music plays and paintings.We’ll review and consolidate infinitive.
(1) Read the passage.Which paragraphs describe what you can see in the picture.Call back the answers from the whole class.
(2) Ask them to read and decide individually;they can then check with a partner.Decide who the passage is written for.
(the students will learn some useful expressions by reading it and by listening to it.We’ll do with it so that I can train the reading skills of the students---sum the main idea and predicate the context.)
Activity 3 and Call back the answers from the whole class.Complete the column in New York with notes.
