①Ask the students to read the words in the box.
②Ask the students to look at the pictures，then describe the pictures.
③Use the words in the box to write a sentence about each picture.

2．Finish the task in 1b
①Talk with the students about the three pictures in 1b.
②Play the recording for the students to check their prediction.
③Listen again and ask：What might happen next？Get the students to use target language to predict the following things of the story.Share their views in class.

①Play the recording again and let students listen and fill in the blanks in 1c.

　　　In this period，the students should try to expand the topic and practice more in listening and speaking.They will improve their capacity of language organization to make inferences by using “could/might be doing”．Oral output is important.So we give them chance to say out more.When they are practicing the conversation，get them to make their own imagination and practice with their own words.
