Step I Greetings
The teacher and the students greet each other in English.
Step II Lead-in
Have you ever got lost when you were young kids in a big shopping mall? Have you lost your ways in a really big city? What would you do if that had happened some day? You need to find someone to help you out. And how can you ask for the right information?
Learn to find some places or ask for the right ways to somewhere using the target language.
It’s important for the students to be polite.

2a. Listen. You will hear some of the directions below. Number the directions in the order that you hear them. This activity provides guided oral practice using the target language. Point to the sample conversation in the box. Read the instructions to the class.
2b. Listen again. Show how the boy walks to the drugstore. Draw a line on the picture above. This activity provides practice in understanding the target language in spoken conversation. Read the instructions to the class. Play the recording again and ask students to draw the line on their own.
2c. Pairwork. Make conversations using the other places in the picture above. This activity provides guided oral practice using the target language. Point to the sample conversation in the box. Read the instructions to the class. Ask students to work in pairs. Ask one or two pairs to present their conversations to the class.

Review the grammar box. Ask students to read the questions to the class.
Step IV Summary
In this class, we reviewed and learned some words of places. Also we learned how to ask for information politely, using the object clause.

Ask two students to read it to the class. Have students follow the directions by looking at the picture. Say, each pair of students can make a conversation using information about the places in the picture.
