T: Ask the students to watch the video about Mekong River and pay attention to what countries it flows.

T: Have you visited the Mekong River? If no, let’s learn something about it.
1. Show a picture of the Mekong River and the brief introduction of it.
2. Ask them: Can you list the countries that the Mekong River flows through?
Step Ⅲ Pre-reading
Ask students to discuss their plan to travel a river.
Step IV Reading
In this step, get the students to read the text and finish some tasks.
Task1: Skim the text and get the main idea of each paragraph :
