From the Bible, the LORD God created a man, our father Adam, and took a rib from him creating a woman Eve. Thus from generation to generation, we form a conception that woman has to be, in a large degree, independent on man. But in the new society, such a stereotype would not be suitable for girls to live a better life. Girls are required independent.
Gaby is a cast in a hot TV series Despaired Housewife. She was a famous model and later gave up her model career for marrying to a rich man Calors. She was not happy at all, even lost herself for a long time. Her tragedy life results in her wrong determination to quit her job.
Another heroin Jane form Jane Eyre set a good example for us. When she was aware of that she was regarded as a automaton-a machine without feelings by Rochester. She retorted: Do you think, because I am poor, obscure, plain and little. I am soulless and heartless? You think wrong-I have much soul as you, full as much heart. Jane’s reply wakes up girls who have been a rib of man. And Jane finally led a happy life with her independent character.
The two stories above, in which two characters are two kinds of life, make it clear for us: Only when girls are independent can they earn respect, be themselves and have a bright future.
