Where would you like to go to build your career, a big city or a small city?
Nowadays, an increasing number of university students graduate every year, thus, it has become more difficult for us to hunt for a suitable job. At present a discussion arises concerning about working in a job in a big city or a small one.
As we can see, many university graduates build their career in big cities. One reason might be that one can keep pace with the constant change of the world because any new development in science, technology or other fields is first reflected in big cities. Besides, one can get a high salary if he finds a good job. In addition, the competitions and the challenges in a big city can urge one to improve himself constantly.
However, there are still some people preferring working in small cities for the reasons as follows. They say that there is no much heavy stress, nor heavy traffic there. Moreover, they are likely to be promoted to important positions soon since they are more capable than most of other workmates who have no university education at all. As the saying goes, gold glitters anywhere.
As far as I am concerned, I would like to build my career in a big city. First of all, big cities offer so many opportunities as well as challenges that I can get enough space to develop my potential. What is more, the common service and health care conditions in big cities are surely better than small ones. Last but not least, big cities are bound to attract first-level talents, in a way I can promote myself rapidly. In a word I will choose a big city to build my career without any hesitation.
