Be able to grasp the main idea and understand some information in details 能力目标 Be able to understand a passage and apply different reading strategies according to different reading purposes ( scanning, skipping and skimming) 情感目标 Be able to understand how to choose gift according to one’s preference. 教学重点 1. Help the students know the expressions often used to describe one’s preferences, such as like, enjoy, be interested in. 2. Making a dialogue about how to choose a gift. 3. How to use the reading skills to get the information quickly 教学难点 Help the students to practice the skills of skimming, scanning, especially how to locate the information according to some key words. 教学方法 任务教学法、情景模拟法、 学习方法 小组合作法、实践参与法、游戏法 教学媒体 电脑多媒体设备,PPT课件、教具、黑板 教学过程 预设时间 教学环节 教学活动 学生活动 设计意图 5mins Step1 Warming-up: T says hello to Ss. PPT shows a short video about FROZEN FEVER Then, ask Ss the two questions: Q1: Do you enjoy the movie? Q2: Today is so special and prefect, do you know why? Q3: Do you know how to choose a gift? Introduce the learning content to the students: They are going to read a short passage about how to choose a gift.. Greet with T. Watch the short movie carefully Answer the three questions. 通过电影节选引出今日的话题,也是提供一个阅读的背景,为后面阅读做准备。 7mins Step 2 Presentation: 1. Ask Ss to skip the passage on Page63, find some nouns and verbs. Give Ss some advice about the proper reading skills: skipping unimportant words while reading 2. Let’s make an umbrella. Find out 4 nouns about a person(T shows how to make the umbrella.) Find out 4 verbs( Let Ss do it!) Last, find out 4 nouns name a thing( Let Ss do it to get more scores) Find out four verbs ( Let Ss do it!) Read the passage for the first time Underline some nouns and verbs Finish Task 1: To be volunteer to get more scores. 让学生采用寻读的方法,忽略一些不重要的单词,着眼重点单词,从而提升阅读的速度。 用制造雨伞的游戏检验学生否在一堆词中按要求迅速找到所需单词,同时,提高学生的积极性。 12 mins Step 3 While-reading 1. Finish Task 2 and Task 3: Play the tape, ask Ss to find out some details about who, when, what... PPT shows the reading strategy: Skimming( Find out the main idea, pay more attention to the beginning) scanning (Locate some information according to some key words) 2. Play the game: catch the popcorn T shows how to play the popcorn to reveal a question. Let Ss fill in the blanks to get more scores. Try to circle the main idea of the passage. Find out some important expressions about one’s preference. Ss catch the popcorn and ask students to answer the questions. 通过再次阅读让学生快速找到本篇文章的中心思想。 通过寻找关键词,让学生在文章定位,让学生能找到细节信心。 用游戏让学生积极参与到课堂中去,深层次的理解文章的细节。 10mins Step 4 Post-reading: 1. Read and act: let Ss read the passage, and work in groups to make a dialogue about how to choose a proper gift. Invite two groups to show. Let Ss know it necessary to buy some small gifts for our friends or family according to their preference. Read and work in groups to make a short dialogue. Show their dialogues. 学生分组编关于挑选礼物的短对话,目的在于让学生把通过阅读理解到的知识输送出来。同时渗透德育教育,让学生知道选择礼物要换位思考。 3 mins Step 5 Summary: 1. Conclude the reading skills: scanning, skimming and skipping. 2. Summarize the key sentences: ...plan to... ...likes\enjoys\be interested in... I think ...would be one’s preference. Look at the screen. Summarize the key points and take notes. 总结归纳阅读技巧及文章中的重难点。 2 mins Step 6 3. Homework: Write a short dialogue about how to choose a gift. Read the dialogue and fill the blanks on Page 65.
