The purpose of the MTD Products, General Mold Specification, is standardization of design, components, material and methods in the construction of MTD tooling. Although specific in many areas of design and construction, the specification is a guide with the understanding that product design, annual volume, process and life expectancy may result in　deviation or additional requirements. The MTD Tooling Engineer is responsible for ensuring　adherence to the specification and authorizing all deviation.
ＭＴＤ产品的意图是，通用模具说明是设计，组成，材料与ＭＴＤ模具制造方法的标准．尽管指定了设计和加工某些方面的细节，但是说明是对产品设计的理解的一种指引，年产量，加工及模具寿命可能会导致背离或额外要求．ＭＴＤ模具工程师会对确保符合说明要求负责并有权准许所有背离说明内容．

10.0 Terms and Conditions.

10.1a.) Payment terms are 60 days from part production approval.

10.1b.) Exception to this policy will be considered depending on specific circumstance and must be negotiated with the MTD Tooling Engineer during quotation.

10.2a) All tooling covered by an MTD purchase order is the property of MTD Products, Inc.

10.3c.) Progress Reports.

10.3c.1) The mold vendor shall submit progress reports for each tool every two weeks, preferably on Friday.
The first report due within two weeks of receipt of order.Reports may be required every week toward the end of the build and as requested by the MTD Tooling Engineer.

20.4a) The MTD Tooling Engineer will provide a Quotation Information Sheet or letter for purposes of describing the mold or engineering change to be quoted. However, MTD expects and requests that the vendor review the data and make suggestions and comments as to improvements, cost savings or items not mentioned in the request.

30.1) The MTD Tooling Engineer will schedule a kickoff meeting as soon as possible after receipt of authorization to proceed.

Note: The MTD Tooling & Process Development Group, (Tooling Engineer),will be the communication link between all tooling vendors, for injection molds and die cast dies, and all MTD manufacturing facilities. All

40.2a) Will consist of enough views to show location of part on each parting line with reference to the plate edges, plate thickness, leader pins and machine tie-bar layout.

40.3a) Will consist of a cavity and core plan view and two or more sections to show steel sizes, cams, lifters and all moving components or critical areas. The views will also include; water circuits, eye-bolt holes, support pillars, guided ejection, rail screws, runners, gates, ejector pins, sleeves, wear plates, hot runner system, knockout holes, and machine tie-bar layout.
