Charles Dickens
Charles Dickens was the most popular English novelist of the Victorian era and one of the most popular of all time. He created some of literature's most memorable characters. Dickens loved the style of 18th century gothic romance, although it had already become a target for parody. One "character" vividly drawn throughout his novels is London itself. All aspects of the capital are described over the course of his body of work.

2. The whole difference between construction and creation is exactly this: that a thing constructed can only be loved after it is constructed; but a thing created is loved before it exists.
