—They’re two dollars.

(1)形容词的正确使用. (2)名词单/复数的正确使用.
II. 互动课堂: “ How much”的用法
1) How much are these socks? 这双袜子多少钱?
They’re two dollars. 两美元。
解析: 这是一个由疑问词短语how much 引导的特殊疑问句。How much 意思是:“多少钱,多少”,常用于询问价格。如果询问的是可数名词单数或者不可数名词的价格,后面的be 动词形式用is; 如果询问的是可数名词复数的价格,be 动词形式用are. 如:
How much is that pen? 那支钢笔多少钱?
How much is the skirt? 这条裙子多少钱?
How much are these tomatoes? 这些西红柿多少钱?
** how much 也通常用来修饰不可数名词。
如: How much water is there in the bottle? 瓶子里有多少水?
How much milk is there in the glass? 杯子里有多少牛奶?
因为water和milk是不可数名词, 所以动词be用单数形式is.
2)socks, shoes, shorts, pants 这类物品作主语时,和他们搭配的谓语动词用复数形式。如:
The shorts are 58 dollars. 这条短裤58美元。
3)dollars 意思是:“元”,是美国、加拿大等国的货币单位,符号为$. 如:
The red shoes are $8.= The red shoes are 8 dollars. 这双红色的鞋子八美元。
$1= ¥6.23 1人民币=0.1589美元
4) ----Can I help you? 你想要点什么?(要我帮忙吗?)
----Yes,please. I need a sweater for school. 是的,我想要一件上学穿的的毛衣。
剖析:Can I help you? 在这儿是服务用语,是商店售货员常说的话;Yes,please. 是顾客的礼貌应答语,一般不用Yes, you can.
Can I help you? 在不同的场合意义不同。请看:

---- Yes,please. I want an apple. 是的,我想要个苹果。
### ---Can I help you? 你想买什么?(在商场)
--- Yes, I want to buy a bag. 是的,我想买个包。

--- Yes, I want an English dictionary. 是的,我想借一本英语词典。
