Unit 10Great inventions单元教学设计 主备课人学校与姓名:五一路小学 张楠 授课时间:年月日- 年月日 单元整体分析 1.单元内容总体描述:本单元是以发明为话题,第一课时以学生自己谈论所知道的great inventions,十分贴近学生的现实生活,为学生创设了一个良好的语境。第二课时讲述飞机的创始人Wright兄弟发明飞机的故事。通过对故事的阅读理解,帮助学生养成良好的阅读习惯和有效的阅读方法,培养学生从文章当中按照时间顺序快速寻找有效信息的能力。在教学过程中,教师应结合学生生活实际情况,灵活掌握教学过程,组织教学内容,丰富学生知识,拓展学生视野,培养学生用英语独立思考的能力。 2.全套教材中与本单元相关的教学内容分析:本单元为阅读课,它的知识点贯穿在全套教材中。 功能:阅读 话题:inventions 。 语言知识: 1. 句型: I think… People can… 2. 时态:表示将来be going to… will 情态动词: can should 学情 分 析 五年级的学生已掌握日常生活中一定的词汇量。 能用带有can的句子描述人,物的能力。 能在表示将来的情景中运用 be going to…, will的句型。 难点预测: 学生可能不好理解以下内容 1.词汇,invent-invention anywhere myself travel watch camera这几个单词都比较长,我将运用自然拼读法教授,基本上是会读即会拼。而且我会把词汇放到句中学习,让学生整体理解和记忆。 2. 有can和should的句中动词在小学阶段用原型。 3.如何用一句或几句话描述一项事物。 单元总目标 语言知识与技能: 1. 能听、说、读、写核心词汇invent-invention anywhere myself travel watch camera。 2. 在语境中熟练运用 I think… People can… ,能正确运用将来时描述即将发生的事情。 过程与方法: 1.本单元主要任务是阅读,理解文章段落大意,在教学过程中,教师可以先从整体上引导学生领会课文的大概结构和总体意思,然后分小组讨论每一段的大意,让学生按小组给出每一段的主要意思,然后进行纠正,让学生在自己解决问题的过程中发现问题,提出问题,最后解决问题。 2.以阅读教学为主线,在所创设的日常活动情境中运用本单元目标语,多采取课堂讨论的形式来让学生大胆地表达他们关于invention的观点。教师适当的引导,培养学生的英语表达能力和英语思维。 3. 情感态度价值观: 通过讨论人类伟大的发明,了解历史,激发学生热爱科学,研究科学。 鼓励学生运用自己的创造力,去发明有益世界的创造。 教学方法与手段 1.采用听说法,通过听录音,回答问题的方法感知和理解Listen and say这一核心板块。 2.利用多媒体课件,通过阅读、看图、听音等方式,理解read a story这一核心板块。培养话题和词汇的语言域意识,形成快速阅读的习惯。 3.采用交际教学法,通过师生、生生的交流讨论,从group project中得到提升,有效提高学生的口语表达能力。 课时划分与分课时目标 板块 单元知识 整合与拓展的知识 教学目标 主题语境 第一课时 Listen and say Ask and answer Look and learn 单词 invent invention anywhere myself travel watch camera I think… People can… I think paper is a great invention. T: When we talk about inventions, we can`t help thinking of four great inventions of ancient China. Can you mention them? What are they? They are the compass, paper, printing and gunpowder. It shows that China led the world for centuries in science and technology in ancient times. While-producer Lead in T: Look and match Show pictures :the sign of north, notebook, book, fireworks. Ss Match four great inventions and the pictures . T: I think compass is a great invention. People can travel with it. they can know north anywhere, Learn the words Invention— invent—invention (in-ven-tion) Travel ( tra-vel) anywhere—(any-where) (Make students find the rulers of these words, communicate their experience of remembering the words) Ask some questions Is …a great invention? Why? E.g.: T: Is paper a great invention.? Why? S:Yes,it is. People can write on it. T: Is printing a great invention.? Why? S:Yes,it is. People can read many books. T: Is gunpowder a great invention.? Why? S:Yes,it is. People can make fireworks. Listening 1. Pre-listening: Go though the questions-How many great inventions can you hear? What are they? (Get the students to grasp the main idea of the passage and help them to understand the passage better.) 2. While-listening: Listen to the tape and finish exercises-read and write 3. Post-listening: Listen to the tape and do some exercises-ask and answer Scanning Get the students to read the passage more carefully to carry out the following tasks: 1.
