七年级英语上册 Module 6 An invitation to the cinema教案 题材内容 本模块以影视娱乐活动为话题,体裁主要是娱乐活动广告,通过本模块的学习, 培养学生阅读此类文体的能力; 要求学生掌握一些与之相关的基本词汇,读懂广告中的一些重要信息; 学习周一至周日的表达方式及在时间和地点前的介词用法.十分符合学生的日常生活实际。教学中应结合学生生活实际情况,灵活掌握教学过程,组织教学内容,丰富学生知识,拓展学生视野。 一、 教学目标 1) 语言知识: 语音 /s/ z/ 词汇 invitation, cinema, would, film, stadium, match, star, team. Friday, Monday, Saturday , Sunday, Thursday, Tuesday, Wednesday, with, great, idea , let, when, invite, on, ask, magic, show, garden, day, place, price, theater, times, moment, swimming, plan, playground, stay, game 词组 in the evening, in the afternoon, in the morning, on Friday… 语法 用在时间和地点前的介词; 灵活运用,提高综合运用能力 功能 邀请和建议。 话题 以影视娱乐活动为话题。 2) 语言技能: 听 听懂有关邀请别人做事的对话,提高学生实际应用能力。 说 能向别人发出邀请;对邀请做出反应; 提出建议.流利的说出含有本模块生词、短语。 读 能读懂简单的广告文体,并从中获取重要信息。 进行简单的阅读技能训练 写 1. 学习电子邮件的写作方式; 2. 2. 掌握时间地点的表达方式 演示与表达 能用恰当语言发出邀请; 被邀请时作出反应。 3)学习策略 学习一定程度形成自主学习,有效交际、信息处理、英语思维能力。 认知 联系,归纳,推测等技能 调控 从同伴处得到反馈,对自己在叙述及作文中的错误进行修改 交际 学习运用恰当词语介绍娱乐活动。 资源 通过其他资源获取更多介绍娱乐活动的信息。 自学策略 能借助词汇图掌握单词,形成话题联想的习惯。 合作学习策略 在用英语交流中,要礼貌,尊重对方。学习与生活相结合,掌握搭配策略。 4)文化意识: 中外对比 中西娱乐活动的差异。 5)情感态度: 在用英语交流中,要礼貌,尊重对方。参加各种英语活动,克服困难,在新环境中进一步树立准确的语言学习观。 6)任务:计划并口头邀请朋友一起度周末. 二、 教学重点和难点 重点:1.如何使用地道的英语介绍娱乐活动。礼貌的进行日常对话。 2.。周一至周日的表达方式 难点:1. 用在时间和地点前的介词的用法 培养学生阅读娱乐活动广告此类文体的能力 三、 教学方法 基于课程改革的理念及“第二语言习得论”,培养实现人的可持续发展和人的主体精神的自我完善和发展所必需的能力和素质,运用任务型教学途径,围绕核心任务,设定小任务,开展和谐愉悦的课堂活动,强调兴趣第一的原则,初步设计“P—T—P”自主学习立体模式:Pre-task…task-cycle…post-task。 四、 教材处理 核心任务:能够运用所学句型结构向不同的朋友介绍娱乐活动。三个环节如下: pre-task:学生联系生活实际,激活背景知识,。 task –cycle:通过整个模块的听说读写的训练,强化“介绍娱乐活动。”的表达能力,为完成任务做好铺垫 post-task):达成任务,展示成果,反馈学习情况 五、 教材安排 根据学生学习英语的特点和规律,我们把本模块划分为5课时: Period 1: Vocabulary and Listening Period 2 Reading and Speaking Period 3. Pronunciation and Speaking & Writing Period 4. Language in use Period 5. Around the world &Module Task 注:教学时应根据学生的学习水平、接受程度及课堂出现的临时状况进行运用、调整及筛选。 『教学设计』 Period 1: Listening and Vocabulary Teaching Content: Listening and Vocabulary Teaching Aims and Demands: 1. Language Knowledge Key vocabulary: invitation, cinema, would, film, stadium, match, star, team. Friday, Monday, Saturday, Sunday, Thursday, Tuesday, Wednesday, with, great, idea , let, when, invite, on, ask Key structure: Would you like to… Let’s go in the evening with… (重点) 2. Listening skill: To understand conversations about inviting someone to the cinema Improve the students’ listening ability. (难点) 3. Affection and attitudes: We should respect the other people. Learning strategies: Bottom –up approach and listening to the tape and do some exercises. Teaching Aids: Multi-Media (Tape recorder, video, OHP, handout) Teaching Procedures: Part I: Revision Task: Help students to revise what is learnt in last module. Directions: 1. Practise: “Is there a book on your desk? Where is your…? Are there …? What colour pen have you got?... .Have you / Has he got a red pen? Yes, I have./ No I haven’t. “etc using everyday classroom equipment 2. Do some choral and individual repetition of the different structures as you use them. 3. Talk about family trees using pictures... Part II: Lead in: 1 .activity 1on page 36 Task: Look at the pictures. Learn the new words. Directions: Step one: Show them some pictures about the new words. Introduce to them the new words. Step two: Read through the words in the box and have the Ss. Repeat them after you chorally and individually. Step three: Ask the students to do activity 1and 2 and 3 on page 36. Check their answers with a partner. Step four: Call back the answers as complete sentences in a whole- class setting using the known prepositions or phrases such as next to, behind , in front of etc.. Step five: Summarize: Part III: Listening and Vocabulary Task: To understand conversations .Improve the students’ listening ability . 1 .activity 4 on page 37 Directions: Step one: Explain that the students have to decide what Betty and Daming say. Step two: Play the recording once while they just listen. Step three Play the recording once again for them to Check the answers with a partner.. Step four: Play the recording once again for them, then once again to check. with a partner.. Call back the answer in a whole- class setting. Step five: Summarize: Invitation: Would you like to do sth.? Let’s do sth. Step six: Have them practice saying them, adding appropriate endings to the stems. 2. Activity 5.on page 37. . Task: Listen and read: Directions: Step one: Play the recording and ask the Ss. to listen and read the conversation. Step two: Play the recording again and pause after each phrase, asking the Ss. to repeat chorally and individually. Step three: Put the Ss. into groups of 2 to practise the dialogue. Step four: They should repeat it several times, changing the roles each time. 3. Listen again and check the correct answers. Directions: Step one: Explain by saying “This activity is designed to check if you have understood the main ideas of the activity. Step two: Ask the Ss. to listen and check the correct answers. Step three: Play the recording once again for them, then once again to check. with a partner.. Call back the answer in a whole- class setting. Step four: Ask different students to read the correct sentences.. Part IV: A test Listen to a story and translate it into Chinese. Part V: Homework Recite the short passage as fluently as possible. Period 2 Reading and Speaking Teaching Content: Reading and Speaking Teaching Aims and Demands: 1. Language knowledge: New words: magic, show, garden, day, place, price, theater, times, moment, swimming 2. Reading skill :( 1). To get necessary information from the reading material. (2). To get a brief idea of entertainment adverts. Improve the students’ reading ability. 3. Affection and attitudes: We should respect the other people. Learning strategies: Bottom-up; Interactive approach. Teaching Aids: Multi-Media (Tape recorder, video, OHP, handout) Teaching Procedures: Part I: Revision 1. Help students to revise what is learnt in Period one of this module. Show them some pictures about the new words in last period. Have the Ss. spell them chorally and individually. Part II : Preparation Task: Revise how to express the time Directions: Step one: Lead in the study of the text by carrying out the following activities: (1).Give them some clocks. Let the Ss. speak out the time. (2) Put the Ss. in pairs to practice them Step two: Label the pictures with the correct time. (1). Read through the words in the box and have the Ss. Repeat them after you. (2).Ask them to label the time. in the pictures on the screen. (Ask students to speak out as many as they can) Part III: Pre-reading activities 1. Task: Talk about an activity we had recently. Directions: Step one: Ask one or two students answer the questions first. Step two: Pair the Ss. to ask and answer. Step three: Circulate and provide the words they may need. Such as sport, actor, actress, hall etc… 2. Task Talk about plays they like or dislike. Directions: Step one: Look at the pictures on the screen and provide the words they may need. Such as sport, actor, actress, hall director, musician, pianist, audience, playwright, ballet, opera, stage, opera house etc… Step two: Pair the Ss. to ask and answer, gradually eliciting the sentences from the Ss. rather than giving them yourself. Step three: Call back the answer in a whole- class setting. Part IV : Reading 1. Task: Check the true sentences: Directions: Step one: Read out the sentences and have the Ss. understand what these sentences mean. Step two: Ss read the passage and do activity 1 individually and check with a partner. Step three: Call back the answers from the whole class. 2. Task: Match the questions with the answers. Directions: Step one: Ss read the passage and do this individually and check with a partner. Step two: Call back the answers from the whole class. Summarize: An ad. includes: day, time, place, price 2. Task: Ask and answer questions about the adverts.(Activity 3 and Activity 4) Directions: Step one: Then the teacher help the students read through the questions. Step two: First check the answers with the whole class, then with individual students. Step three: Ss. make other similar sentences by themselves. Step four: Call back the answers from the whole class, having one student ask a question and another answer. Part V: Dealing with expressions Task: Read the text again .Pay attention to these sentences 1. Where is the football match? 2. When is the Taijiquan class? 3. It’s in the evening/morning/afternoon. 4. It’s at Dalian Hotel. 5. 本课课文是分类信息广告,通常不写出完整句子,而只是写出重要信息,这样有助于读者准确、快速的了解信息。 Part VI: Language use 1. Exercise 8and 12on page 94.in the WB. Direction: Ss do it by themselves. Let’s see who can finish it as soon as possible. 2. Part VII: Homework: Write a short ad.. Part VIII: A test Read a sort passage and choose the correct answer. Period 3: Pronunciation and Speaking & Writing Teaching Content: Pronunciation and Speaking and Writing Teaching Aims and Demands: 1. Speaking skill: To understand conversations about inviting someone to the cinema Improve the students’ speaking ability. (重点) 2. Writing skill: To write an email. Improve the students’ writing ability (难点). 3. Affection and attitudes: We should respect the other people. Learning strategies Top-down and Interactive approach and do some exercises. Teaching Aids: Multi-Media (Tape recorder, video, OHP, handout) Teaching Procedures: Part I: Revision Task: Help students to revise what is learnt in last module. Directions: 1. Ask: ‘Where is…?” etc. using everyday classroom equipment . When is…?... 2. Translate some words about food and drink that we learned in last period. Part II: Pronunciation and Speaking 1.Task: Grasp 2 phonemes/s/ /z/ etc。 Directions: Step one: Play the recording and ask the Ss. to listen and read the phonemes/ s/ /z/etc. Step two: Play the recording again and pause after each word, asking the Ss. to repeat chorally and individually. Step three: Put the Ss. into groups of 4 to practise them. 2. Speaking Task: Listen and repeat in activity 8 on page 37. Improve the students’ speaking ability. Directions Step One: Pair the Ss. to do activity 8 Step two: Have the Ss. change partners several times to ask and answer Step three: Circulate and monitor pronunciation. Step four: Call back a few examples from some pairs in a whole-class setting. 3. Task: A ct out the conversation in activity 5 on page 37. Directions Step One: Pair the Ss. to A ct out the conversation in activity 5 on page 37 with each other. Step two: Call back a few examples from some pairs in a whole-class setting. Part III. Writing Task: Catch the method of writing an email Activity 5: Read the email and fill in the blanks with these phrases Directions Step One: Go through the phrases with the class, making sure they understand where is used and why Step two: Ask them to fill in the blanks individually and check their answers with a friend. Step three: Call back the answers from the whole class, and write them on the board. Step four: Explain that an email includes: From, To, Day, Body and Signature. Activity 6: Write your own email invitation. Directions Step One:. Ask them to Write their own email invitation individually and check their answers with a friend. Step two: Call back the answers from the whole class, Step three: Pair the Ss. read out their answers. Part IV: Recalling Recall what we learn today. Part V: A test Do Ex.3 on page 92.and hand in immediately. Part V: Homework: Do Ex.13 on page 95. Period 4. Language in use Teaching Content: Language in use Key vocabulary: today, plan, playground, stay, game, fridge, Key structure: Would you like to… Let’s go in the evening with… It’s on …/at… Teaching Aims and Demands: 1. To summarise and consolidate expressions of invitations, prepositions of time and place. 2. To review and check vocabulary. Affection and attitudes: We should respect the other people. Learning strategies: Formal instruction and task-based approach and interactive practice. Teaching Aids: Multi-Media (video, OHP, handout) Teaching Procedures: Part I Revision Help students to revise what is learnt in 3 periods of this module. Part II Language practice Task: To summarise and consolidate the usageof.expressions of invitations, prepositions of time and place. Directions 1. Run through the examples with the Ss. and make sure that they are familiar with the use of Would you like to… Let’s go in the evening with… It’s on …/at… 2. Ask the Ss. To repeat the sentences in the box. 3. Ask” Can you make other similar examples?” Part III: Talk about Sam’s plan Task: Make a conversation Directions 1. Look at the example and ensure that the Ss. Know what to do.. Explain that the tables contain information which the Ss. use in a conversation between Sam and Tom. 2. Ask them to work in pairs and to decide who is Sam and who is Tom. Ask them to begin their conversation as shown in the example, and to continue with their plans. 3. Ask them to act in pairs to the whole class. Note: Try not to correct mistakes too often. Part IV: Practise 1. Ask the Ss. to do activity 2 and 3on page 41. Directions (1). Look at the example and ensure that the Ss. Know what to do... (2). Ask the Ss. to complete the sentences and match the question words with the answers individually. (3).Check their answers with a friend. Directions (1). Look at the example with the class, then ask the Ss. to write 4 more phrases for each question. They can use the information from the “This week” part. (2) Ask the Ss. to check their answers with a friend. (3) Call back the answers from the whole class, having Ss. give 3 pieces of information for each line as a sentence. Part V: A test Write down 5 sentences about your plan using what we have learned... Let’s who can finish it as soon as possible. Part VI: Homework: Do Ex 1 and 2 on Page 92 and Ex. 5 and 6 on Page 93 in the workbook. Period 5. Around the world &Module Task Teaching Content: Around the world &Module Task Teaching Aims and Demands: 1. Get some information about weekends in foreign countries. 2. To summarise and consolidate the language covered in this module. Affection and attitudes: We should respect the other people.
