四、教学步骤
Step 1. Revision
1. Ask Ss to read the passage in 3a.
2. Answer the questions according to the passage in 3a to review the superlative of adjectives and adverbs.
3. Learn something the writer does in the Greenwood Park.
Step 2. Leading in
1. Show some pictures of some places in our hometown. Ask Ss to guess where the places are.
2. Ss show their answers.
Step 3. Prewriting
1. Discuss where the best place we go on weekends.
2. Introduce Dachuan according to the pictures by using the superlative of adjectives and adverbs.
3. Group work: What things did we talk about Dachuan? Finish the part 1 on work sheet.
4. Check the answers.
Step 4. While-writing
1. Group work: Describe these things in Dachuan to complete the short passage.
2. Present Ss’ writings on the screen and check the writings with Ss to correct the mistakes.
3. Learn good writings from others.
Step 5. Post-writing
1. Group work: discuss what a beginning and an ending we can give to the passage.
2. Ss show their groups’ ideas for the whole class.
Step 6. Homework
1. Learn the best place or thing we can introduce to others.
2. Write a passage about your town and the best places or things there.
