名校版英语语法考点解析alone和lonely用法一、alone 和 lonely 的区别:
l.alone可以用作形容词和副词 而lonely只能用作形容词。
lonely可用作前置定语，而alone只能作后置定语。例：
The old woman lives alone in a lonely small house.
那个老妇人单独一个人居住在一个孤寂的小房子里。
He felt alone.他感至I」孤独。
2.alone是陈述一个〃单独〃的客观现象和事实，这个客观 事实是存在的，就是指本意孤寂，单独的意思，指的是单独 的这个事实。表示没有人陪伴、没有人关心，感觉身旁没有 亲人，没有朋友，因而有孤立无援之感。
Never in her life had she felt so alone , so abandoned.
在她的生活中，她从未感到过这样地孤单，这样地被遗弃。
We felt terribly alone, very much orphaned. 尽管他被认为是一位伟大的作家，但他的作品并没有被广泛 阅读。
Though he is poor, yet he is satisfied with his situation.
尽管他很穷，但他对他的境况是满意的。
Though [Although] admission was free nevertheless few people attended the lecture.

Alhough he was ill,yet/still/nevertheless he managed to look careful.

定词组。
though不能改作although ,因为它们是
（六）even though/even if引导的让步状语从句， although却不可以这样用这两个短语表示语气更强的让步，常常意为〃再退一步说〃。 Even though更力口强调对〃既成事实〃的让步,even if更 强调对〃假设〃的让步。
I'll get there even if/even though I have to walk all the way.
即使得一路走着去，我也要走到那里。
Even if he is poor,she loves him.
即使他很穷，但她还是爰他。（假设他是个穷鬼）Even though he is poor,she loves him.
尽管他很穷，但她还是爰他。（事实他就是个穷鬼）

He looks as though he hasn't had a square meal for weeks.

She wouldn't change it, even though she knew it was wrong.
尽管她知道这错了，她也不肯改变。
He is an honest man, I must say, even though I have opposed him.尽管我反对过他，我还得说他是一个老实的 人。
She was always afraid of men, even though she had lots of boyfriends.尽管她有很多男朋友,她总是害怕男人。
I like her, even though she can be annoying at times.

而lonely那么是描述的一种感到寂寞、感到无聊，感到孤独而 不愉快。例如：
Though he is alone , he is not lonely.
虽然他是一个人，但是他却不感到孤独。
3.alnoe没有情感的指向,没有好坏的区别，指的是一个现 实状态，只是一个表达事实而已。lonely反响的是人的感觉, 是自己的一个心理对外界的感受，表现的是一种心理不舒服 的状态，有好坏的区别。
I missed the stimulation of working with others when I tried to go it alone.
当我试图单干时，我很怀念与他人一起工作的那股兴奋劲。
另外，alone还可以作副词，搁在名词或代词后面,表示: 只有，仅仅He alone can do it.
只有他能做这件事。
You alone should determine what is right for you... 只有你自己才能决定什么适合你。
二、alone 和 lonely 的用法：
l.alone用作形容词，通常只是表示客观上的一个人或没有 别人，而不表示孤寂或孤独等感情成分。例：
I want to be alone with mother.
我想要和妈妈单独待着。
I don't like going out alone at night.
我不喜欢夜晚单独外出。
Would you mind leaving us alone for a few minutes?
你不介意让我们单独待一会吧？
It took her a while to adjust to living alone.
她过了一段时间才适应单独生活。
2.lonely除了指出与其他人隔离这一事实之外，还强调渴望 伴侣的那种孤单寂寞的感情，既可以修饰表示人的名词，亦可以修饰表示物的名词；表示〃寂寞的，孤寂的，孤独的〃， 带有较强的感情色彩。例：
She has been very lonely since her husband left her.
自从他的丈夫离去，她一直很孤独。
At heart, r m a lonely man.
在内心里，我是一个孤独的人。
Robinson Crusoe spent many lonely days on the desert island before the man Friday appeared.
在那个名叫星期五出现以前鲁滨逊克鲁索在那个荒岛上度过了许多寂寞的日子。
最后这个例句比拟经典，可以好好玩味赏析：
The few people on the streets were alone and seemed lonely.
街上那几个人孤零零的，显得很寂寞。
首先，当though作附属连接词时，表示〃虽然〃、〃尽 管〃、〃即使〃之意,与附属连词although相同，但在使 用场合上有所不同。though比although使用得普遍得多。 所以，当强调让步关系时多用althougho另外，though还 可以作副词；although只能是附属连词。although, even though和though可用于句首或带有动词的从句开头。
We bought the car although it was old.
虽然这辆车是旧的,我们还是买了下来。
Although it was dark, he still worked in the field.
天黑了，他依然在田里劳作。
Although the sun was shining it wasn't very warm.
尽管太阳高照，却不很暖和。
Although small, the kitchen is well designed.
厨房虽小，但设计巧妙。
Although/Even though/Though everyone played well, we lost the game.
We lost the game, although/even though/though everyone played well.
尽管每个人都打得不错，我们还是输了。
（―）although的让步语气比though强，大多用于正式 的文体，指已成立的事实;though的语气较弱，一般指设想 和假定的情况。例：
He wouldn't take an umbrella although it was already raining.
虽然当时已在下雨，他还是不愿意拿雨伞。（事实）
He wouldn't take an umbrella though it should rain cats and dogs.
虽然有可能会下大雨，他还是不愿意拿雨伞。（假设）
但是，这种用法区别的讲究却渐行渐远。
Though [Although] it was raining ,we went there.虽 然下着雨，但我们还是去了那儿。
Though [Although] it was barely four o' clock, the lights were already on.尽管才四点钟，灯已经亮了。
Though [Although] we are poor, we are still happy. 我们虽然穷，仍然很快活。
(-)although在句中大都放在句首的位置，如放在句中 (如上面一例)，那么表示强调的意味;though放在句首和句中 均可。though假设要加强语气时，可将位置移后，构成异常 语序的让步状语从句；注意：倒装后位于句首的名词之前不 用冠词，但although 一般不可以构成异常语序的用法：
Urgent as/though the message is,it is impossible to send it there in time.
(=Though the message is urgent,it is impossible to send it there in time.)消息很紧急，但不可能及时送到。
Child as/though he waszhe faced the dangerous situation calmly.
(=Though he was a child,he faced the dangerous situation calmly.)尽管还是个孩子，但他能冷静地面对危险情况。
Poor though I am, I can afford it. ( Though I am poor, I can afford it.)我虽穷，但这东西还是买得起的。
Child though he was, he did quite well. (Though he is a child, he did quite well.)他虽是孩子，但干得很好。
Hard as/ though he works, he makes little progress. (=Though he works hard, he makes little progress.)尽管他学习很努力，但几乎没取得什么进步。
(H)although只能作附属连词使用;though除作附属连词 外，还可用作副词，表示〃然而〃、〃但是〃、〃可是〃、
〃不过〃等义，这时候，though 一般放在句末。例：
Our team lost. It was a good game though.
我们队输了，可是这也不失为一场好球。
We are still friends, though, which is good.
不过我们仍然是朋友，这令人感到欣慰。
He said he would write to her. He didn' t,though.
他说过他要给她写信的，但是他却没有写。
It' s hard work; I enjoy it though.工作很辛苦，可是我 乐意干。
He is looking fit, though.但他看起来很健康。
You can count on him, though.不过你可以指靠他。
（四）在附属连词though（although）之后绝不可与but连 用；中国人由于受汉语〃虽然…但是…〃的影响，常犯 though（although）之后与并歹I」连词but连用的错误。见下 例：
Though the idea may be dead, but it is far from being buried.（错）Though the idea may be dead, it is far from being buried.（对）
尽管这种思想可能已无人相信，但还远没被人遗忘。
特别值得说明的是，附属连词虽然不可以和并列连词联用； 但是，却可以和副词yet,still,nevertheless等联用：
Although he is considered a great writer,(still) his works are not widely read.
