我觉的应该是分开的，even表示一种转折的意味，as有个意思是while sth else is happening，这里应该是取这个意思，就是他们的竞选团队一方面各种恳求支持者捐钱，不捐就要输了，一方面又对获胜表示了信心

但是在08年以参谋长的身份加入奥巴马团队，在前两年的管理中担任副参谋长，在这次重新竞选中再次指挥着奥巴马团队的Messina，却仍然保持着相对低调的姿态，这里这个的，看似简单，但用了以后，就把前面几个连起来了，大侠觉得是不是读起来比您翻译的更舒服些
还有一种方法就是想sky一样，前面不用但是，后面一起表示出来
