一、课型
本节课是一堂阅读课。
二、理论支持
1．教师以任务型教学作为课堂教学设计理念，具体通过直观教学法，情景教学法和交际教学法等方法组织教学。
2．贯彻“教中学，学中用”策略，真正使学生学以致用。
三、教材分析
本课是重大版普通高中课程标准实验教科书（必修3）第2单元的第一课时。本课的阅读A Boy and His Tree是一篇约600字的语言故事，讲述了一个男孩和一颗苹果树的故事。当男孩还小的时候，他和树之间亲密友好，常常一起嬉戏玩乐，幸福无比。随着孩子长大，烦恼与需求增多，苹果树无私奉献出自己结下的果实为孩子换取买玩具的钱，献出了自己的树枝让孩子建房；当孩子因工作家庭的压力而变得疲惫不堪时，苹果树又奉献了自己的树干让孩子修造船只出海航行；最后，当孩子拖着衰老病痛的身子回到树旁时，苹果树又将自己唯一残存的枯树根献出让孩子坐在上面。该文寓言深刻，发人深省，阅读此文旨在帮助学生体察父母亲情，感悟人性中最单纯无私的爱。
四、教学对象分析
学生正处于高一下学期的学习阶段，通过初中学习掌握了一定的阅读技能，但仍需要不断地训练才能达到比较熟练的程度。
五、教学目标
1．知识与技能目标：
①发展阅读技巧，体会音乐带给人们的无穷力量；
②初步使用定语从句表达自己的看法。
③重点词组： grow up, play with, have to ,a long time ago ,play around ,chop off.
④表达法：go sailing.
2．情感、态度与价值观目标：
①学生能较好的保持学习英语的兴趣和动机；
②锻炼和培养克服困难的决心和意志；
③主动参与有助于提高英语能力的活动；
④在学习中有自信心，敢于用英语表达自己的看法。
3．过程与方法目标：
①通过预测、略读、找读和填表格等多种方法训练学生的阅读能力与技巧，培养学生在阅读过程中获取和处理信息的能力。
②通过两两对话、小组讨论充分发展学生的合作交流能力,积极自主解决问题。
③采用多媒体的教学手段，使教学生动活泼直观，既激发学生的学习兴趣，又能提高教学效果和学生的学习效率。
六、教学重点
教学重点： 教学目标中的词组；
通过阅读练习的处理提高阅读理解能力。

七、教学方法
① 任务型教学法；
② 略读法；
③ 细读法。
八、教学手段
本次教学和学习活动需要使用投影、电脑等多种教学媒体.在教学过程中能收到形象、生动、直观的效果，并加大授课密度，使教学环节更紧凑，也更能调动学生的学习积极性。

2.细节阅读

要求学生认真阅读短文，寻找相关信息。
目的：训练学生快速查找细节，捕捉信息的能力。
3．要求学生再次认真阅读短文，检查学生对文章的整体理解。

要求学生快读并找到答案。
目的：训练学生快读阅读技巧。

2.细节阅读

要求学生认真阅读短文，寻找相关信息。
目的：训练学生快速查找细节，快速捕捉信息的能力。
3.要求学生再次阅读课文，检查学生是否对文章有整体的理解。

目的：训练在阅读理解中的猜词能力。
step 4 Post-reading
Discussion:
1. Why was the old man willing to send his son to the police station? What makes him change his attitude to David?
2. How do you understand “ Music is power” according to the text?（把全班同学分成8组，在规定的时间内让每组同学用英语进行交流探讨为什么音乐是力量，并且把小组的探讨结果写在分发的纸上，然后由老师用投影仪展示给全班同学，最后由老师进行汇总。）

提升学生的交流合作能力；
激发学生对英语的兴趣和喜爱。

十一 、Homework:
1.Underline the phrases and sentences that you can’t understand
2.Finish off Ex.2 on page 36 in Language Focus.

目的：理解词组和难句，为下节课更好的汲取语言知识点做好准备；
激发学生的创造性思维。
十二、教学效果预测
1. 绝大数学生情绪高涨，思维活跃，积极参与教学活动。各层次的学生均应该学有所得；
2. 由于学生的基础较薄弱，接受能力欠佳，而教学内容的难度和容量对于他们来说比较大，每个环节给学生的时间较多。因此，有可能出现不能完成本堂课的教学内容。
