一．教学目标
1. 知识目标
能听、说、读、写单词: moon, pool, bright, tonight.
2. 技能目标
(1)能理解并运用句子:
The moon is bright.
And there’s a party tonight.
The lion and the duck are dancing rock’n’roll.
(2)学唱歌曲。
3.认知策略
掌握运用旧单词学习新单词的方法；初步感知单词前缀to-的作用。
4.情感目标
(1) 培养学生用英语思考和在运用英语的能力。
(2) 在情境中演唱歌曲。
(3) 激发学生学习英语的热情，培养学生团结合作的精神。

感受party的愉快氛围。

四．教学过程
Step1. Revision and warming up.
T: Toby is having a nice holiday. Let’s ask and answer.
Ask: Eating chicken, eating chicken .Who is eating chicken?
Answer: Eating chicken, eating chicken. Toby is eating chicken.
….

在前面的课时中，同学们已学习了大量的现在分词短语。问答式的chant，能使学生在轻松愉快的氛围中进行复习。
Step2. Learning the new phrase.
教学现在分词短语dancing rock’n’roll.
1. 看一段摇滚视频，学习词汇 “rock’n’roll”。了解rock’n’roll 是rock and roll的缩写形式。
2. 读短语dancing rock’n’roll.

观看录像，了解摇滚的舞蹈形式,引出了词汇“rock and roll”的教学，并指导学生读短语“dancing rock’n’roll”。以上教学向学生展示了短语的生成过程，突破了词汇rock’n’roll的教学难点。
Step3. Presentation(1).
教学篇章的第1节和单词moon, pool, bright, tonight.
1． T: Look at the picture. What can you see?
教学单词 moon.
a. 课件演示单词afternoon 变成moon 的过程，指导学生读单词。
b. 指导学生拼读单词moon.

课件演示单词afternoon 变成moon的过程，使学生能够根据旧单词学习新单词的发音，并记忆了单词的拼写。
2． T: What about the moon?
a. 教师贴出句卡“ The moon is bright.”
b.学习单词bright, 检查学生是否理解它的意思。
c.读句子。

单词bright 在教材中曾经出现过，在这节课中只需要略讲即可。
3． 教师贴出句卡 “There’s a party tonight.”
a. 课件演示单词today变成tonight的过程, 学习单词tonight。
b. T: What is “tonight”? How do you know that? 指导学生理解单词tonight的意思。
[设计说明]
运用已知单词today、night学习新单词tonight, 提高学生运用旧单词学习新单词的能力。让学生猜测tonight的意思，使学生初步感知单词前缀 to-的作用。
4. 读句子“The moon is bright. And there’s a party tonight.”
5．看图学习单词pool, 并引出单词cool的学习。
a.课件演示单词school 变成pool 的过程，指导学生读单词pool.
b.填空：，引导出单词cool的教学。

运用已知单词school学习新单词pool，并引导出后面篇章中的单词cool, 培
养了学生运用旧单词学习新单词的能力。
6．T: The sky is blue. The moon is bright. And the pool is full of water. Can you tell me which season it is? 教师提示：Spring, summer, fall or winter?

让学生根据情境猜测季节，引导出了课题 “The animals’ summer party”.
Step4. Presentation and practice.(2)
教学篇章的重点章节2～5节。
1． 听读篇章，画出下面问题的答案。
a. Which animals are there at the party?
b. What are they doing?

学生带着问题听读全文，可以从整体上理解篇章内容。
2. 复习动物名称。
T: Which are the animals? 贴出动物的图卡，并带读所有动物的名称。
3. 学习第2节。
T: What are the lion and the duck dancing ?
a.教师帖出句卡Are dancing rock’n’roll.
b.请学生模仿狮子和鸭子跳舞的动作，练习说话 “… is/are dancing rock’n’roll.”
4. 学习第3节。
T: What are the pig and the snake eating?
a.教师贴出句卡Are eating lots of cake.
b.请学生模仿吃蛋糕的动作，练习说话 “…is/ are eating lots of cake.”，指导词组lots of的连读。
[设计说明]
让学生模仿跳舞、吃蛋糕的动作，并练习说话“…is/are dancing rock’n’rool / eating lots of cake.”, 调动了学生的学习积极性。
5. 学习第4节。
T: What is the cat doing?
a.教师贴句卡She’s swimming in the pool.
T: I think the cat is really cool.
b.贴句卡 The cat is really cool.
c.指导读句子 “The cat is really cool, she’s swimming in the pool.”
d..照样子，看图说话。
The lion is really cool.
He is playing the guitar.

词汇really cool 比较抽象，是本节课的一个难点。选取教材中的部分图片，让学生照样子说话，可以使学生学会运用really cool，突破了难点。
4． 学习第5节。
T: What are the hippo and the fox wearing?
a.教师贴出句卡 Are wearing purple socks.
T: What are you wearing?
b.练习说话 “I’m wearing….”
[设计说明]
让学生结合自己的穿着，练习说话“I’m wearing…”。这样的操练，可以培养学生在实际生活中运用语言的能力。
5． 读第2～5节的内容。

以chant的形式朗读，能使学生在有节奏的朗读中记忆所学内容。
6. 读句子，判断正误并改错。
The sheep is eating lots of cake.
The cat is swimming in the pool.
The snake and the fox are wearing pink socks.
The cow and the duck are dancing rock’n’roll.

以上这个练习，可以检查学生是否掌握了所学内容。
Step5.Presentation (3)
教学篇章的第6、7节。
1. 学习第6节。
T: What about the sheep ?
a. 教师贴句卡But the sheep is asleep.
b. 教读单词asleep.
c. 听学生读句子，表扬读得好的学生。
2． 学习第7节。
T: What does the cow want to say?
a. 听学生表达对月亮的感叹。
b. 听学生有感情地读 “ Oh, wow!” says the cow.

第6、7节作为略讲部分，教学重点放在了指导学生的朗读上。以读促学，培养学生在具体情境中感受语言的能力。
Step6. Sing the song.
1.听磁带，感受歌曲的旋律。
2.听一句，唱一句。
3.跟随歌曲的旋律，小声地唱。

借鉴音乐课的教唱方式，使学生在优美动听的旋律中学会了歌曲。
Step7.Exercise.
1.Write the words.

书写单词，完成教学目标中对单词的书写要求，提高课堂教学的效率。
2. Read and write . 模仿原文，改编歌曲，并根据歌曲内容完成绘画。

2学唱改编后的歌曲。

回家后听唱歌曲，可以巩固本节课的教学成果。在完成基本要求的基础上，让学生学唱改编后的歌曲，可以调动学生学唱英文歌曲的积极性。
