Teaching difficulties: By the end of the class, the students can : use “first”, ”next”, ”then” and “finally” freely. Teaching process: Step1 Warming-up(1’) 1. Greetings: T: Good morning ,boys and girls. Nice to meet you .Today I am your new teacher.I am Miss Hou. Do you want to know more about me? S: Yes. T: Now let’s play a game what do I do in the morning? Can you guess ? 2.Play a game (3’) T: What do I do in the morning? You can talk in your group. Ss have a try. S1: You get up at five. S2: You ....... S3: You...... 3. Read together and have a chant. Step2. Checkout time(20’) T: I want to know more about you . What do you do after school? 1. Look and say(10’) T: Let’s look at the pictures and say in English. Ss: do my homework/ play football/ read books/ play the piano....... T: What do you do after school? Work in groups and talk about. 2.Read and say 3. About Yang Ling (checkout time ) (1) Underline the phrases about the time and order thefour pictures. (2) Practice in pairs: A: What do you do after school? B: First,... Next,..... Then,..... Finally,...... . 4. Think and say(10’) (1) watch and say (2) play a game: Magic eyes T: What do you do at Christmas? Look at the pictures and talk about Christmas. (3) About Helen’s Christmas. First, Group in four, look and say Next, think and write. Then, check the answers. Finally, read together and make a dialogue. (4) Read and order Step3 Happy summary(15’) Finish the tasks and ticking time. Step4 Homework( ) 1. Share the activities of Chinese holidays with your friends. 2. Write the activities about your favourite holiday.
