1 Language goals:
(1) Key vocabulary: recycle, discard, glue, tile, inspiration,
(2) Target language:
The walls are made from old glass bottles.
The stuff used to be called trash .
2 Ability goals:
(1) Use the target language to communicate with others.
(2) Learn how to heal the world in our ways.
3 Moral goal:
(1) It’s very important to protect our environment.
(2) Educating the students to protect our environment.
Teaching important points:
(1) The ways of save the planet.
(2) Talking about how to do it.

(1) Talking about how to save the world.

Teaching procedures:
Step1 Greeting
Lead-in . Listening to a song about the world’s problems and hand out the
Lyrics.(一首杰克逊的《heal the world》形象的描述了社会存在的环境问题,歌词感人至深,引起学生共鸣,同时引出本课话题)
Step2 Presentation
(1) Show some pictures about the world’s problems,and lead in the topic.(图片的呈现都是关于现在社会存在的环境问题,这样直观的图片让学生更容易体会当前环境问题,理解课文。)
Step 3 Learning.
(2) Talking how to save the planet? And complete part 1a.
(3) Make conversations with your partner.
Step 4 Listening
Listen to the conversation for twice , finish the first part after the first time .Finish part 2 after the second time.
Step 5 Reading .
Read the passage with background music.(伴着音乐阅读滚动字幕,学生更放松,同时也增强趣味性和新颖性)
After reading the passage finish the following questions.
1. Who is Amy Winterbourne?
2. Did she win an award? What’s it?
3. What does she do in her spare time?
Then finish the chart.
Step 6 Grammar
be made from:表示由······制成,后面跟表示材料的名词,从成品上看不出原材料。
e g: Paper is made from wood.
be made of :表示由······制成,从成品上能看出原材料。
e g : The table is made of wood.
used to be:过去是······,过去作为······
e g: The skirt is use to be his father’s T-shirt.
Step 7 Writing . Finish 3b and check the answers..
Step 8 Pairwork
Please talk something about how to recycle these things with these pictures.
Step 9 Homework.
Try to think out more ways to recycle some things.
