/校园派Campus66Crazy English 成都七中八一学校 钟敬媛 蒲佳婧 指导教师：董惠玲Interesting Stories of Pandas熊猫趣事Have you ever had a close contact with pandas?My friends father,Uncle Li,is a panda breeder(熊猫饲养员).According to him,the work of panda breeder is cumbersome and arduous(麻烦又费力),but otherwise,you find it fun as well.Here are some interesting stories he shared with us.Uncle Li is in charge of pandas food.Usually,he has to try his best to collect fresh bamboos,pandas staple food,break them into several parts and poor quality outside the park to avoid being cheated.The most skillful and important part of visiting the base is to pay attention to the time.If you are willing to get up early,you can see pandas just waking up and having breakfast at 6 or 7 oclock.There are fewer tourists in the base at this time,and the weather is cooler,so you can get a good“bear watching experience”.Pandas eat lunch after 12 oclock and go into a siesta(午休)before 2 oclock in the afternoon.Just visit out of that time.During the visit,you can notice that many foreign tourists are attracted by the cute nature of pandas.Regardless of nationality,everyone is shocked that the caregivers and pandas could communicate in such a tacit(心照不宣的)way in Sichuan dialect(方言).Pandas are not only seemingly unreachable national treasures,but also close friends around us.As common guests of the Earth,we should treat pandas well and live in harmony with them.On top of that,each visitor respect the rules of the base and queue up in an orderly manner to check in.No one litter or feed the pandas with their own food.Such a beautiful moral landscape of the city will deeply touch every visitor,allowing you to see the harmony between people and the improvement of quality.(初中天地）67(初中天地）67pick out the tenderest(柔 嫩 的)ones for them.Besides that,some bamboo shoots also should be prepared,because pandas love them more.However,the theory“The more,the better!”is not true of this situation,so Uncle Li has to carefully control the amount of their intake(摄入量),and especially he has to make sure they do not eat the food given by tourists,making sure they have a healthy eating habit.Anyway,he says,pandas are actually picky(挑剔)eaters.Pandas are like babies,and they play or even fight with each other sometimes out of nowhere.Say,they may grab others food to cause a conflict;they may fight with each other for fun just out of feeling bored.Uncle Li sets rules for them and monitors them occasionally to make sure they dont hurt each other.Whats more,Uncle Li helps to clean and maintain the breeding area and sometimes do massage for these cute guys.Hearing this,I couldnt help laughing.What a happy life these pandas are living!Do you want to have a close touch with them?Welcome to Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding.A Trip to Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding成都大熊猫繁育研究基地之旅成都七中八一学校 余若兮 刘馨语 指导教师：董惠玲As pandas enjoy worldwide popularity,Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding has been brought to the public attention.During the first day of this May Day,my friend Xixi and I decided to pay a visit there.
