五下 Unit 4 Seeing the doctor 一、单元分析: 本单元主要话题是谈论看病。课文通过苏海和医生,迈克和牙医的对话来理解句型:What’s wrong with---? What should ---do? 及其回答。教师可以充分利用书本材料进行教学与操练,也可以让学生们用should和should not 给出建议。教师可引导学生结合以前学过U7和U8的词汇和句型进行扩展表述。本单元中,学生需了解摄氏和华氏温度的区别。这也是英美国家文化的一个内容。 二、单元目标: 知识目标 1.在课文情景中学生能够听懂、会说、会读对话中出现的词汇:brush one’s teeth, drink water, eat sweets, have a rest, take medicine. 2.学生能够谈论看病的话题,针对不同的情境活用日常用语should和should not 给出建议。 3.能理解并掌握字母ch 的发音规律,熟记例词。 能力目标 1.学生能正确理解Story time, 并能小组合作表演对话; 2.学生能熟练运用本单元所学的词句在不同的情境中谈论看病这一话题; 3.学生能正确理解、朗读Cartoon time中的故事,能读懂其中的趣味之处,能在教师的指导下表演故事; 4.通过小组合作讲述故事内容,并能够添加文本内容进行文本扩充; 5.学生能了解摄氏和华氏温度的区别。 情感目标 1.让学生体会到阅读故事的乐趣,培养学生阅读的兴趣。 2.让学生体会到运用英语解决实际问题的能力。 三、教学重点: 1.能正确理解、掌握语篇内容,并能朗读、初步表演对话。 2.能正确地听、说、读、写词汇brush one’s teeth, drink water, eat sweets, have a rest, take medicine. 3.能使用should和should not 给出建议。 四、教学难点: 1.能听懂、会说、会读和会写brush one’s teeth, drink water, eat sweets, have a rest, take medicine 等 2.能听懂、会说、会读和会写句型What’s wrong with---? What should ---do?及其回答。 3.了解字母ch在单词中的读音。 4.了解摄氏和华氏温度 五、课时划分: 课时安排: 共四课时。 第一课时:Story time 第二课时:Grammar time & Fun time 第三课时:Culture time & Cartoon time 第四课时:Sound time,Check out time & Ticking time 第五课时:《练》和《补》讲评 六、教学准备: 卡片, 磁带,录音机, PPT Unit4 Seeing the doctor第一课时 教学目标: By the end of the lesson, the students would be able to: 1. understand the text and find out how to communicate with doctors through watching the video and reading the story; 2. get to know the meaning of " have a rest, take medicine, before bedtime, dentist, toothache, check, brush one’s teeth" and pronounce them clearly; 3. use the sentence structure “What’s wrong with you? You should /shouldn’t ... " to talk about illness and advice; 4. get to know about how to see the doctor and give suggestions to others. 教材分析(含重、难点): The students have learned some phrases and sentences about illness in Grade Four. In this period, they will know about how to see the doctor and try to use the sentence structures in real situations. And also they will learn how to give suggestions with “should” and “shouldn’t”. Focus of the lesson: 1. Understanding the dialogue as a whole; 2. Talking with the doctors. Predicted area of difficulty: 1. Pronouncing the words like “medicine, toothache”; 2. Understanding and using “should, shouldn’t” to give suggestions. 教学准备:A和B练习纸,单词卡片,PPT 教学过程: Step 1. Lead-in and learning. 1. Play the video about illness the students have learnt before. What can you know from the video? (课件示句型…is …… has a …) 2. Present a brain storm. ① Help the students think and say. They are all ill. Can you think more words about “illness”? (课件出示头脑风暴的页面,学生若说到新词就呈现) ② Teach the new phrases 学生说到就教,没说到就暂时不教 Step 2. Discussing and watching. 1. Present the picture of Su Hai and Mike in the hospital. ① Show the task If you are ill, you should see the doctor and take medicine. Today Su Hai and Mike are ill. They see the doctors. (贴板书课题,课件出现两人) What’s wrong with them? which room should they go? Let’s be the nurse, try to help them. Please work in pairs, try to guess and act.(课件上逐渐出现四个门,导医台和句型) ② Know about the students’ choices. 3.Play the video and present the right choices. Let’s watch the video and judge.(放动画) What’s wrong with them? Do you know now? (课件中句子挖空) Su Hai has… She goes to … Mike has a … He goes to see the dentist. The doctor who helps you with your teeth, you can call him dentist. Step3. Understanding and reading. 1. Show the Jigsaw reading. ① Ask each group to read and underline. They go to the different rooms to see the doctors. The doctors help them. What should Su Hai and Mike do? Now please look here. (课件示任务) Read your paper and try to know about them. Group A, read about Mike, Group B, read about Su Hai. And please underline the doctors’ advice. ② Help students to read. Share with your friends. Please try to read in your groups.可将不会的生词写在此卡上,获得老师和同学的帮助,学习生词 2. Present the information gap activity. ① Help students to ask and answer. Group A, do you want to know about Su Hai, Group B, do you want to know about Mike? Now let’s ask friends and try to know.(课件示操作要求) ②Show the whole dialogue. 3. Play the recorder of the dialogue. It’s reading time. Please listen and read.(一句句放,跟读) 小组练读,三种形式任选其一 4. Ask two questions: Q1: Why does Mike have a toothache? Now I have two questions for you. First, why does Mike have a toothache? (课件示Mike…) … Do you eat too many sweets? Do you like sweets? Are your teeth OK? Do you brush your teeth before bedtime? Q2: Why does Su Hai have a headache and a fever? The next question, why does Su Hai have a fever and a headache? Can you image with you life? (课件示I think she …) Step 4. Production. 1. Show the task. ① Present the two passages about Su Hai and Mike. Do you remember the doctors’ advice? Please choose one to finish. (课件示要求,请两生板书) ② Check the students’ answers. Let’s show someone’s work.(请学生用实物投影展示并读) 2. Show the task: Help a foreigner to see the doctor. Today some foreign visitors come to our school, but one of them is not fine. Look!(课件示一个表情痛苦的老外) He wants to see the doctor, but he doesn’t know how to see the doctor in China, can you help him?(课件示Task4给情景、要求、句型和词汇) 两大组中各请一小组表演(课件示表演的要求)按标准评价 Step 5. Homework. 1.
