My Mid-- Autumn Festival

How time flies! It was the 15th day of the 8th month of the lunar calendar--the Mid-Autumn Festival.It is a special day for our Chinese people and it is a symbol of reunion and harvest.
I was so happy today because my father and my sister came to my home and we got together to celebrate this festival . How excited I was!
In the morning ,my sister and I got up early and we were busy preparing breakfast for the whole family. We decided to make dumplings .They were my favorite food.Another thing that made me happy was I received many best wishes from my friends and relatives and even I got some lucky money in We chat way. Of course I also sent my wishes back to them. I felt i was the happiest person in the world.
After breakfast, I did some housework such as cleaning the room ,doing some washing ,watering my flowers and so on. I like doing housework .Providing a clean and comfortable environment for my family was my pleasure. After doing housework I went shopping with my family. There were so many people hanging out in the malls and everyone looked happy on this day.
In the afternoon we went back home with all kinds of delicious food. It was already 4:00pm. It was time for making dinner .I was not good at cooking . Luckily, my sister was a great cook so we had a chance to enjoy a big dinner. We also enjoyed the delicious moon cakes and other desserts and fruits
It was one of the most important activities to admire the full moon on the Mid-Autumn Festival.But when I wanted to go out to enjoy the full moon,it was cloudy! I didn’t really hope to miss the full moon tonight. After thinking again, I still decided to go out. I went to the 301 park on foot.It was my favorite place to take a walk.I was not the only person to go there. And I saw many other hikers like me.Maybe they had the same idea as me. It didn’t rain when I got to the park so I walked up to the lake on the top of the mountain .I stood by the lake and looked up at the sky quietly. How interesting it was! The moon seemed to be playing hide and seek with me.Sometimes it hid behind the clouds and sometimes it came out again. I took some photos of the full moon.Although the photos were not clear to watch, i was satisfied with them .After all it was the moon on Mid-Autumn Festival night.I got home at around 9:00 pm. I watched the Mid-Autumn Festival Gala with my family on CCTV.
What a wonderful festival I spent!
