A few days before Spring Festival, people usually clean their house. It means sweep away bad luck.On Spring Festivals Eve, the night before Spring Festival, each family has a big dinner. At 8 oclock, people start watching Spring Festival Gala.On the first day of Spring Festival, people visit their friends and relatives (亲戚), saying Happy New Year or Happy Spring Festival to each other. The Dragon Head Raising Day( Longtaitou) is one of them. This special day is on 1 second day of February in the Chinese lunar calendar. It stands for the 2 (begin) of spring and farming. The dragon is important in Chinese culture. We Chinese people call 3 (we) the “descendants(后代) of the dragon”. Therefore, people celebrate the Dragon Head Raising Day with many 4 (tradition) about dragons.On the day in ancient time, people put ashes(灰) in the kitchen. Second, after dinner, they often enjoy the full moon which is bright and round. Finally, the most important tradition of Mid-Autumn Festival is eating mooncakes. Mooncake is important on that day. Its a kind of food which means all the family members get together.As we can see, China has a lot of wonderful traditional cultures.
