Teaching Procedure
Step I Leading in (3mins)
1. Start the lesson from sharing photos of some sentences in grammatical filling that students have done before.
2. Ask some students to show more mistakes they have made before.
Step II Presentation (7mins)
1. Task 1 Students finish the grammatical filling of 2016 college entrance examination.

The Year of the Dog began on Feb. 16, 2018 according to the Chinese lunar calendar. Though dogs are seen as companions and part of the family today. China and Western countries do not have same cultural beliefs about dogs.
In Chinese. some words concerning dogs have not very good meanings，such as“ No Ivory（象牙） can come out of a dog's mouth". But in English, the situation is different. "Every dog has his day" describes a person with a period of good fortune and "work like a dog” is used to describe a hard worker.
The dog-human relationship goes right back to the beginnings of Western civilization, and the friendship between humans and dogs was a common subject for artists.
In fact, people were close to dogs in a way they weren ‘t close to cows, pigs or even horses. Farmers worked closely with dogs. But even after science came to agriculture and dogs lost their traditional roles, the relationship between man and dogs remainded.
Nowadays in the west, millions of people keep dogs as pets. People feed them , take them on holiday and look after them. In return , dogs are loyal in a way that friends sometimes aren’t . This loyalty is the origin of the English saying , “A dog is man’s best friend.” (225words)

Peppa Pig is a British preschool animated television series , and each episode lasts for five minutes and revolves around a young girl pig called Peppa. Since launched in 2015, Peppa Pig has attracted billions of people in China. However , An upcoming film's trailer(预告片) has drawn a huge attention on China's social media platforms. The 5-miniute trailer is advertising the upcoming animated film Peppa Celebrates Chinese New Year, which is set to hit big screens on Feb 5, the first day of the Chinese zodiac's Year of the Pig.
The trailer revolves around the question "Who is Peppa?" and tells a touching story that highlights Chinese families.
In the beginning, a senior man named Li Yubao living in a remote rural area asked his grandson on the phone what gifts he wanted for the Spring Festival, but he only heard the word "Peppa" due to the poor mobile signal. Therefore, the man began an interesting journey to discover who Peppa was . With the help of neighbors, the senior man made a Peppa model consisting of iron and steel by intuition, and surprised his grandson.
