Teaching Aims:
1.      Enable the students to master the names of the holidays: Christmas, New Year’s Day, Spring Festival, Halloween and Mid-Autumn Festival.
2.      Enable the students to use the sentence: When’s…? What do people usually do on/in…? Did you…last…? What’s your favourite holiday? to talk about the holidays.
3.      Enable the students to communicate with each other and work in groups and try to take notes while reading.

Ask and answer in pairs

3.      Talk about holidays

Step 2 While-reading
1.      Look at the picture and fill in the form
2.      retell
3.      enjoy the cartoon and take some notes

4.      Talk about the holidays and learn the new words
5.      Read books and answer the questions.
