Unit 1 单词inform的用法

Teaching aims
1. Let the students know the meaning of the root <form>, and learn some new words with this root.
2. Make the students know some usage of the word inform.
3. Let the students learn to apply the word inform into their writing.

Teaching procedures
1. The study of the root <form>
A. Show some pictures of human’s appearance to let the students know what is a root in English.
B. Learn the meaning of some new words: uniform, formal and inform.
C. Do some practice to test whether the students have remembered the meaning of these words.
2. The study of the usage of ‘inform’
A. inform sb. of sth.
Eg. The teacher informs us of a new rule.
B. inform sb. + that 从句
Eg. The teacher informs us that students have to wear school uniform on Monday.
C. sb. be informed that...
Eg. I have been informed that the bomb threat was a hoax.
3. The application of ‘inform’
A. 假如你是李华，从互联网上得知一个国际中学生组织将在新加坡( Singapore) 举办夏 令营，欢迎各国学生参加。请写一封电子邮件申请参加。主要内容包括：
1、自我介绍（包括英语能力）；
2、参加意图（介绍中国、了解其他国家）；
3、希望获准。
