形容词比较级的变化规则及运用
1.变化规则:
①单音节词在结尾加 。例如:tall--
②以 结尾的词,先把 ,再加er. 例如:funny-
③重读闭音节词以一个辅音字母结尾的,应 ,再加er. 例如thin-
④部分双音节词和多音节词,在其前加 。例如: athletic-
⑤特殊变化:___________________________________________________
2.That’s Tara ,isn’t it?那是塔拉,不是吗?该句为反义疑问句。反义疑问句是指在陈述句后附加一个简短问句,征询肯定或否定的意见,或者希望陈述句所说的得到证实。反义疑问句的结构如下:
(1)肯定的陈述句+否定的简短问句
Jim likes listening to music , ? Yes, he does.
Lucy is good at swimming, ? No ,she isn’t.
(2)否定的陈述句+肯定的简短问句
Li Lei didn’t go to school yesterday, ? Yes, he did.

1.Tara works as hard as Tina.
as …as中间用形容词和副词的原级。eg: as hard as
as …as的否定句为not as…as…,在not as…as… 结构中,第一个as可以换成so 即:not so…as…
eg: He didn’t come as\so early as Wang Lin.他来得不如王林早。
2.形容词比较级的用法:
①.“A+V.+比较级+ than + B”表示“A比B……”
eg:吉姆比凯特高。
②.“比较级+and+比较级”表示“越来越……
eg:他越来越高了。
③.“the+比较级,the+比较级”表示“越……,就越……”
eg:越多越好。
④.“特殊疑问词+V.+比较级,A or B?”
eg:哪一个更大,蓝球还是红球?
【注意】比较级前常用much, even, still, a little, a bit, far, any等词修饰。

“和……一样”, 反义词组: “ 与…不同的”
2.当make的意思是“使、使得”时,一般用于“make + 宾语 + 宾补”这种结构,
常用的句型是:(1) make + sb. / sth. + adj. 意为“使某人或某物处于某种状态”。
Eg:The news made him happy. 这个消息使他很高兴
(2) make + sb. / sth. + 省略to的动词不定式, 意为“使某人或某物做某事”。
Eg:Our English teacher often makes us retell the texts.
3. be talented in 在……方面有天赋,后接名词或doing. 同义词组

4.both adj./pron./adv. 两个都……
①both代词,意为“两者都”。做主语时谓语动词用复数,通常位于连系动词、助动词或情态动词之后,行为动词之前。

1.I’m shy so it’s not easy for me to make friends.
“It’s +形容词+for sb to do sth”是固定结构,意为“做某事对某人来说是……的”。结构中的it是形式主语,真正的主语是后面的动词不定式短语。句中的形容词为描述事物的特征的词,如difficult ,easy, hard, important, dangerous, necessary, possible等时,其后的介词用for.
eg: 对于一个孩子来说,自己一个人呆在家里是很危险的。
拓展:当此句型中的形容词为描述人物性格品质及性格特征的词,如:clever,foolish, kind, good, nice, polite, silly等时,其后的介词用of.
Eg:你把雨伞借给我,真是太好了。
2.However ,Larry often helps to bring out the best in me.然而,拉里经常帮助我显现出最好的一面。 Bring out意为“使显现,使表现出”
拓展:(1)bring out 还意为“出版;生产”
Eg:公司正在生产一种新型自行车。
(2) bring out the best/worst in sb.把某人最好/最坏的一面展现出来
Eg:请告诉我怎样把我最好的一面展现出来
3.Larry is much less hard-working, though.不过,拉里学习不太勤奋。
Less此处是副词little的比较级,其用法如下:
(1)用于形容词或副词之前,意为“不如,不及”,常见结构为“less+形容词/副词+than”,相当于“not as/so…as” eg:第一课不如第二课有趣。
(2)less修饰动词,意为“更少”。
