外研社新标准英语八年级Module 5 Museum Unit 2 There’s no shouting and no running. 一、教材内容分析: 本单元以“博物馆”为题材,比较详细地介绍了伦敦科技馆。任务是通过合作学习完成去博物馆参观的导游计划。本课是阅读课文,以读写为主,听说兼顾,借Tony之口介绍伦敦科技馆,要求学生了解它和其他博物馆之间的不同之处。本课的语言知识对于学生来说难点不是很多,教学中应把重点放在 提高学生语言能力上,要利用课本中的语言材料创设语言学习环境,展开充分的听、说、读、写训练,还可以进行适当的拓展,给学生创设一些新的语境,结合学生以前学过的句型和词汇,开展语言训练活动,另外从内容和文化上也有很大的拓展空间,包括公共场所应遵守的规则、不同类型的博物馆、世界其他著名的博物馆等。 二、教学建议分析: 1、遵循英语教学规律,寓思想教育于语言教学之中 2、精讲基础知识,加强基本训练,着重培养为交际运用语言的能力 3、尽量使用英语,适当利用母语 4、增加语言实践量,提高英语教学质量 5、充分利用直观教具和多媒体教学手段,努力创造英语环境 三、学情分析: 学生们因为没亲自参观过博物馆,对本单元话题的学习是既感兴趣又陌生,通过第一单元的学习,同学们对博物馆的规则有了初步的了解,如何以口头和书面的方式来描述博物馆来提高学生的口头表达能力和组织运用语言的能力则成为本课的重点内容,另外,本班学生属于两极分化比较严重的班级,要想让所有学生积极主动的参与到课堂活动中来可能有一定的困难,因此如何让所有学生参与到课堂中来则成为本课训练的一个重要内容。 四、教学目标分析: I.语言知识目标: 词汇: 掌握experiment, unusual, work out, physics, sand, truck, wheel, position, rocket, travel, human, speed, obey, above all, drop in, as…as, try out,fill.....with, compare.....with, obey some rules的基本含义及应用。 五、教学步骤: Step I Revision. 1.      Greetings. 2.      Ask the students to say some rules for museums or libraries. No shouting. No running . No smoking . Don’t touch. No photography . Don’t smoking. No eating. You shouldn’t do sth You can’t do sth You mustn’t do sth Sb be not allowed to do sth 3.Review some phrases in Unit one. against the rules, go upstairs, go home, hang on a minute, go there, come back, look at…, be closed until…, as well, write a report for…, by Friday, go downstairs, buy…in the shop, go off, on his own, the amazing sculpture, take a photo, No photography, pay attention to…, look very real, hurry up, take so long, look very strange, be kind of familiar, look like ..., very funny, no wonder …, look real 4. Then retell the conversation in Unit 1. 设计意图:巩固第一单元所学知识,体会指令性语言的运用,为本单元课文学习做铺垫。 Step II. Reading and vocabulary. (Activity 1) Open the book., Look at the pictures , use the words in the box to talk about the differences in two museums in groups. Boring ,busy ,do experiments,exhibit,fun,interesting,noisy,not allowed to,quiet,serious,unusual 设计意图:激活学生思维,导入话题;扫清障碍,为学习新内容做准备。 Step III. Reading (Activities 2.3.4.5) Listen to the tape and then read the passage silently. Complete the table of part 3 . The teacher shows the main ideas of the paragraphs to the students, and ask them to read it silently and quickly and match it. then check them in groups and together. Paragraph 1 the differences between the Science Museum and usual museums Paragraphs 2---4 What you can do in the Science Museum Paragraphs 5—6 the cost, rules, open time of the Science Museum 设计意图:在前一环节的基础上继续熟悉课文大意,掌握课文结构,为下一步课文学习打好基础。 3. 精读第一部分: (1).Read Paragraph 1 and answer the questions: In what way is the Science Museum different from other museums? (Activity 2中1) (2). According to the phrases to retell the paragraph 1 The most unusual ,no shouting and no running,be not allowed to do sth,different ,noisy, fun ,work out ,try out. 设计意图:理解本段文字巩固该段所学内容,培养学生组织运用语言的能力。 (3).Do Activity 4中1.2 设计意图:培养学生在阅读中辨认代词在上下文中指代的人或物的阅读技巧。 (4).Play the tape for the students to listen and repeat. 设计意图: 培养语感,规范朗读。 4.精读第二部分:Paragraphs 2---4 (1) Ask and answer some questions. Do it individually, then check in groups a.  Where does Tony go when he visits the Science Museum? (Activity 2中2) b.  What kind of physics experiments can Tony do at the Launch Pad? (Activity 5中1) c.   What can Tony learn in the Rocket Show? d.   What can Tony try out in the Human and Nature room? (Activity 5中2) e.   What else is there to see in the Science Museum? (Activity 2中3) 设计意图:学生通过小组合作找出问题答案,培养他们的小组合作意识,同时也准确理解了文章内容细节。 (2).Play the tape for the students to listen and repeat. 设计意图: 培养语感,规范朗读 (3). According to the phrases to retell the paragraph 2---4 in the Science Museum, Launch Pad, favourite room,do physics experiments,Rocket Show,travel into , Human and Nature room, compare……with, there are 设计意图:培养学生的概括能力和组织语言的能力,使学生更好的掌握这三段的知识。 5 精读第三部分:Paragraphs 5—6 (1) Ask and answer some questions . Do it individually, then check in groups a. What rules should be obeyed in the Science Museum? b. How much does it cost to go in the Science Museum? (Activity 5中3) c. For how long can you stay at the Science Museum? (Activity 5中4) 设计意图:学生通过小组合作找出问题的答案,培养他们的小组合作意识,同时也准确理解了文章内容细节。 (2) Do Activity 4中3. 设计意图:培养学生在阅读中辨认代词在上下文中指代的人或物的阅读技巧。 (3) Play the tape of all the article for the students to listen and repeat. 设计意图: 培养语感,规范朗读。 (4)Let students read the whole article by themselves and then retell the whole article. 设计意图:培养学生理解整篇文章的能力以及组织运用语言的能力。 Step IV. Writing. (Activities 6&7) 1. Activity 6.Complete the passage with “it, they and there”. Ask the students to pay attention to the use of them. 设计意图: 培养学生正确使用代词的能力。 2.Find out important words and phrases to retell this article and write it on the exercise book. 设计意图:巩固本课所学知识,培养学生的复述课文的能力和写作能力。 板书 Unit 2 There’s no shouting and no running Difference usual museums ----------- no shouting, no running, Don’t touch the exhibits. the Science Museum---------- noisy / fun to visit …work out/ try out
