重难点: Describe popular science and modern technology ;describe agreeing and disagreeing ;developing a certain reading skill---how to read science terms in science article and are able to read a newspaper article about cloning.

What have you learned about the environment in Unit 2 ?
Step 2 :Lead in and discussion
Today we will talk about another topic ----Science versus nature. First , please discuss the following three questions.
Question 1: What do you know about cloning ?
Question 2: What other cloned animals do you know about ?
Question 3: Do you think it would be a good idea to clone humans some day ? Why or why not ?
Step 3 : Fast reading for general ideas
Go through the passage quickly as possible and try to find answers to the three questions .
Question 1 : Does the article give an anti—or pro—cloning point of view , or both ?
Question 2 : What was the name of the fist cloned mammal ?
Question 3 : Is Pauline Carter pro—or anti—cloning ?
