As an English teacher, in my eyes, English teaching serves two main purposes. First , to enable the students gain competence of comprehensive and all around skills in English. Second, to help the students build up good personalities, to be self-disciplined ,to be confident, and to have faith in themselves, and etc.
But As we also know, that our students are different. They are different in age, they have different characters, some are out-going, some are shy and their ability of learning varies, some are quick learners while some usually lag behind. As to get all my students involved in English learning despite of their differences and to let them all have satisfaction and the sense of fulfilling in my class and moreover to generate the best out of them, I …

By …,I help them to better themselves, not only in English learning, which could provide skills for them to make a living later, but also in cultivating their all around abilities which could help them to make a life. Just as W.A White once said, In education, we are striving not to teach youth to make a living, but to make a life.
