Unit 3 How do you get to school(Section B(2A-2C))
教学目标：
1. Be able to read and write the new words:river, boat, bridge, village, villager, ropeway, between, dream, leave, cross, afraid
2. Use the phrases skillfully: between... And..., cross the river, one 11-year-old boy, many of, come true
3. Understand some of the difficult sentences in the passage
4. 通过阅读练习，扩展学习一些生词、短语，并能够完成阅读理解任务，获取相关信息。
5. 了解贫困地区孩子上学的交通困难，城市孩子要关注他们，懂得珍惜自己的生活和学习条件，激发自己努力学习。
学情分析：
本节课是Section B的阅读理解局部，学生通过对A局部交通方式的学习和掌握的根底上，进一步在阅读中学习交通方式的表达，并在语篇中学习运用新单词和短语，同时注重学生阅读策略的培养，包括预测语篇信息和获取具体信息以及对信息加工的策略。活动内容循序渐进，有一定的难度，所以在教学过程中应给予学生及时的方法指导。

T: In this unit, we learned a lot of different kinds of transportation. Can you say some of them for us?

Open your book and look at the picture. There is no bridge and the river runs too quickly for boats. How do they get to school? Let’s read the title and guess what the passage is about.(学生针对图片畅所欲言)
Step Ⅲ While-reading
1. Fast reading
(1) Read the passage quickly and get the main idea for the passage.(ppt展示main idea让学生选择正确的一个)
(2) Read quickly and underline the new word.

Learn the new words by looking at the pictures on the ppt. Ask Ss to try to pronounce them. Pay attention to the pronunciation of the vowels.
2. Carefully reading
(1) Read the passage carefully and answer the questions in groups. Ask one student to read the questions. Make sure everyone understand them.
QA.:How do the students in the village go to school?(Group 1)
QB: Why do they go to school like this?(Group 2)
QC: Does the boy like his school? Why?(Group 3)
QD: What is the villagers’ dream? Do you think their dream can come true? How? (Group 4)(Possible keys: Caring people may help them. Government may help them. They may build by themselves.)
(2) Read the passage again and find the key phrases and any difficulties you don’t understand in reading.(在ppt上给出汉语短语让学生在文章中找出相应的英语,此环节是阅读课的精华，需要让学生充分阅读，并让学生发现问题、提出问题，进一步稳固和理解课文内容)
(3) Explain the difficult points in the passage.

(4) Read the passage again. Find the adjectives (形容词) and the adverbs(副词). Then use the adjectives and adverbs you found to complete the sentences in 2c.
