二、课程目标与教学任务
《自动化专业英语》是自动化专业的一门重要的专业课。当代的科学技术开展日新月异，国内 外专业技术的交流是促进开展的重要手段，因此作为接受高等教育的工科学生，除了学好公共英语 之外，还必须掌握与所学专业相关的专业英语，从专业的角度，掌握科技论文、公式和图表的描述 方法、惯用的语法，通过学习学会专业论文、技术资料、设备说明书、专业广告、来往信函、合同 协议等与工程技术相关的各种文档的阅读和写作的基本方法，为同学今后的深造或工作打下良好的 专业英语的基础。到达培养具有开阔视野、外语交流能力强、训练有素的国际型专业人才的目标。 三、课程内容提要Part One Power Electrical Technology

四、课程总体的要求
通过本书的学习，结合已经学过的专业知识，一方面对自动化专业技术有进一步的了解，另一 方面更重要的是，学会阅读自动化技术的英文科技文献，并掌握书写英文论文的基本方法，能对科 技资料的语法现象、科技公式和数据的书写和读法，常见的翻译技巧有较全面的了解。在学完本课 程之后，应能具备借助工具，较顺利地阅读英文科技文献，对基础性的英文资料，到达每小时翻译 2500印刷字符以上的能力。
