Ⅰ.变直接引语为间接引语。
1．He said，“My brother doesn't want to go there.”

Ⅱ.单句改错
1．Kitty said that she needs some fresh air.
__needs→needed__
2．He said he bought a beautiful car the day ago.
__ago→before__

__will→would__
5．He told us that he would give us an examination next day.
__在next前加the__

Ⅲ.单句语法填空
1．I asked him __whether__ he would stay at home or go out for hiking.
解析：直接引语如果是选择疑问句，变间接引语时选择疑问句变为由whether引导的宾语从句，而不用if引导宾语从句。该句直接引语为：I asked him，“Will you stay at home or go out for hiking？”
2．—Sorry, what did you say just now?
—I asked __how__ I could get to the station.
解析：答语句意：我问我怎么才能到车站。
3．The actor said he __was__(be) born in 1984.
