Knowledge objects (1)Master the following words:which, circle, add, score, relax, free, mind, active, must, bored, without, example (2)Common phrases:add up..., in one’s free time, play an instrument, go on a trip, for example 2. Ability objects Continue to build up the ability in listening, speaking, reading, writing and translating, especially enable the students to make sentences in English about their activities in their clubs. 3. Moral object Get students to know how to express their plan correctly. Teaching important points: 1. Some words and phases: which, circle, add, score, relax, free, mind, active, must, bored, without, example ,add up..., in one’s free time, play an instrument, go on a trip, for example 2. Learn how to talk about their favourite club. Teaching difficult points: 1. Express their activities in the clubs. 2. Some difficult sentences: ①What do you do on a cold and snowy day? ②I can’t go anywhere without them. ③I will be bored without music. Teaching methods: listening;speaking; groupwork. Teaching aids: A tape recorder; Powerpoint Teaching procedures: Procedures Teacher’s activity Student’s activity Step 1 Organization Organization (1 minutes) 1.Greeting T: Good morning, class! How are you today? Ss: Good morning, Miss An! Fine, thank you. And you? T: I’m fine, too. 2. Play a game. Greet the teacher and play a game. Step2 Review Step3 Lead-in Review The teacher shows some exercises on the PPT. 1.Learning aims Let students know about the aims. 2.New words which, circle, add, score, relax, free, mind, active, must, bored, without, example ,add up 3.Lead-in Free talk: T: What do you like to do? What club do you want to join? Ss: I like dancing. I want to join the dancing club. ... (The teacher presents the pictures to help students to answer the questions.) Students do the exercises and check the answers together. Know about the learning aims. Read and recite new words. Free talk: Ss: I like dancing. I want to join the dancing club. ... Listen to the teacher, discuss the questions in pairs. Think about their ideas and express them. Step4 Listening Listening Listen to the tape and try to finish Exercise 1 on Page 55. Read and do the test. T: What is your club type? Now let’s do a test to know what club is right for you. Then tell us your information with the structures “My club type is ... I like...” Listen to the tape and try to finish Exercise 1 on Page 55. Then try to make an advertisement for your club in groups. The example in on Page 55. Step5 Explanation Explanation The teacher explains the language points. 1. Language points T: After reading, let’s study four language points in this lesson. (add up把...加起来, in one’s free time在某人空闲的时候, for example例如, without无物,无事) Understand the language points and write them down. Step6 Practice Practice The teacher show the exercise on the PPT Students do the exercises and check with the help of the teacher. Do the exercises . Step7 Summary Summary This class we’ve learned how to express our favourite activities in the clubs. Step8 Homework Homework 1. Review the key points in this lesson. 2. Finish off the exercises in Activity Book. 3. Preview the next lesson. Blackboard design 1.
