Why do most Disney characters wear gloves(手套)? Mickey, Minnie, Donald Duck, Pinocchio, and most Disney characters all have one thing in common. They wear gloves. Although there are many surprising facts about Disney’s most famous characters, putting gloves on cartoon characters is pretty logical(合乎情理的).
The shortest answer as to why so many characters wear gloves is that in the age of black and white cartoons, it was difficult to make characters’ round hands and their black bodies clear in a short time. Gloves were an easy way to make their hands stand out. In fact, Walt Disney might have been the first to put gloves on his characters in The Opry House, starring Mickey House. Besides, Walt Disney once said that there was another reason. “ We didn’t want him to have mouse hands because he should be more human. So we gave him gloves. Five fingers seemed like too many on such a little man, so we took away one.”

Then Zapata stopped halfway on a boat to fill his backpack with fuel again. It took him just 22 minutes to finish the 35-kilometer flying. The crowd clapped loudly as they saw him reach Britain safely. Zapata said that it was the most amazing moment in his life.

How do people find their talent? Gillian Lynne showed a good example.
Gillian Lynne never did well in school as a child. She couldn’t sit for a long time and often found herself moving restlessly(不安地) . Her mother was quite worried about her. She took Lynne to a doctor. For 20 minutes, she talked about the problems Lynne was having in school. Then, the doctor said to Lynne, “ I need to speak to your mother first. Wait here.”
As they left the room, the doctor turned on the radio. He then said to Lynne’s mother, ”just stand and watch her.” The minute they left the room, Lynne was on her feet, dancing to the music on the radio.
The doctor then turned to Lynne’s mother and said, “Mrs. Lynne, your daughter isn’t sick (生病的). She is a dancer. Take her to a dance school. Let her show her talent.”
So she did. Lynne’s new dance school was full of people just like her—people who had to move in order to think. Lynne later went to the Royal Ballet School, one of the world’s greatest dance schools, and became a great dancer.
