Teaching Plan Title NSE Book 8 Module 1 Unit 1 Don’t touch the machines, please! Aims i.Get students to grasp imperative sentence “Don't !” “Wear !” ii.Encourage the students’interest to learn English. iii.Encourage the students to cooperate with each other, help each other and learn from each other. Focus i.Help students grasp the 4-skill words: machine、sir、potato、glasses、 anything、wait ii.Help students grasp the key sentences: Don’t touch the machines,please! Wear the glasses,please! And don’t touch anything! iii.Enable students to use the drills fluently and correctly. Aids some cards, tape recorder , stickers , ect. Teaching Process Teacher’s Activity I.Warming up and Revision 1、Greetings. ① How are you? ② What day is it today? ③ What’s the weather like today? ④ What do you do on the weekend? 2、Sing a song II.Leading-in 1、Show some pictures. 2、Play a guessing game. 3、How to make “crisps”,today let’s learn Module 1 Unit 1. III.Listening & Reading Activities 1、Ask the students open their books,look at page 2 ,then play the tape. 2、Play the tape, make students understand the meaning of the text. 3、Play the tape,ask students underline “don’t” and some new words. 4、Give them some questions: ①What does this machine do? ②Can they touch the machines?Why? ③Can they have a bag of crisps?Why? 5、Play the tape. 6、Practise the difficulty sentences . 7、Listening test. IV.Further Development 1、Give them 2 minutes to practise the text in groups. 2、Check the students. 3、Ask them look at Exercise 3 ,then work with a partner. 4、Check the students. 5、Have a test. V.Homework 1、Encourage the students to practice the drills after class. 2、Copy the new words 4 times. 3、Read the text 2 times. Students’ Activity 1、Answer the questions. 2、Sing a song. 1、The students look and say. 2、Guess one word. (crisps) 3、Read the title. 1、 Open their books, listen to the tape carefully. 2、 Try to understand the meaning . 3、 Listen and draw. 4、 Answer the questions. 5、 The students listen and repeat. 6、The students say the key words and sentences in different ways. 7、The students finish their Activity book on page 2 and 3. 1、 The students practise in groups. 2、 Act it out. (The best group will get a prize.) 3、 The students take turns to read the sentences and the other person point to the picture. 4、The students say the sentences as quickly as possible. 5、Finish the Activity book on page 3,exercise 3. Focus i. Key point:1 Key words:“duck, grass, silence”. 2 Key sentences:“Don’t feed the duck! Wear your hat! Silence!” ii.Difficult point: How to use imperative sentence fluently and correctly. T:Acorrding to the text, I’m going to say one word from an instruction in the book. You have to listen carefully and say the complete instruction. Example: T:Wash. T:Cut. II.Leading-in T:Open the books ,please. Turn to Page4 Look at the pictures. Where are they? T:Very good. What do ducks eat in the park? T: Can we feed the ducks in the park? Can we touch the machines? Can we talk or write in the book in the library? T:Let’s look at Unit 2 and find out the answers. III.Listening & Reading Activities 1.Play the tape. 2.According to students’ questions,show the key words:duck, grass, silence. Attention:Compare the sound of grass and glass 3.Show the key sentences: “Don’t feed the duck! Wear your hat! Find out if any of the children know the story. ⅱLet the students talk about the story as they can and write new vocabulary on the board.
