But have you ever considered making friends with animals or plants or even an object? Ok, I see John raising up his hands. John said that his best friend is in his guitar, because when he feels lonely, he always plays the guitar and it can comfort him, very talented. And anyone else? Jane has a friend. While you were reading, did you find some words or phrases that is difficult for you? On purpose? Be crazy about? Ok. Can you guess the meaning of on purpose in the context? Yes, it means you did something with clear intention, clear aim. And be crazy about? You don’t know? If you really like something or someone, you could use it. For example, I am crazy about ice cream. Clear? And how can you describe Annie’s feelings as she was looking out at night. Exciting? Amazing? Overwhelming? Right.
So after reading the dairy, can you conclude what the structure of diary is? Let’s say it together. We first need to write the date at the very beginning and then the Dear XX. Then comes the main body. At last we need to write “Yours” and the name of you below. Get it?
We have learned so much about this story. I'd like to ask you to make a story. Work in groups to make a story about “What you would do if your family were chased by some evil people. Four students as a group. This is group 1. This is group 2. This is group 3 and this is group 4. Ten minutes for you. Okay time is up. Which group would like to have their opinion? Group one. They said that if their family were chased by some evil people, they will move to a foreign country and hide, okay, a good choice. Group four, your opinion. So what we have learned today. We have learned a passage about the girl called Annie and her friend a diary. We also know that even in the most darkest age, we can always bear in our mind that one day we'll make through. And we should fight for what is right and guard peace.
