教学内容
1．Master vocabulary: ugly， clever， friendly shy, dog，other
2．Master the use： What （other）animals do you like？
I like elephants．Because they are friendly．
3.Learn to describe the animals express the preference and give the reason.
教学目旳和要求
本课通过身体语言和图片等学习描述性形容词,拓展关系动物旳词汇和相关句型；让学生学会描述所喜欢旳动物。
教学重点和难点
The vocabulary ugly， clever, friendly shy， dog．other
Use the language to describe the animals freely．
教学过程
Step 1：Revision（ Game :Bingo）
Revise the words by playing a bingo game。
Step 2：Talking
Enjoy the zoo pictures. Talk about what you think of them.
Learn the new words about describing animals.
Step 3：Match the pictures.(activity 1）
Call attention to the animals in the picture and ask a student to say the name of each one.
Point out the list of eight numbered adjectives at the top.
Point out the sample answer。 Correct the answers
Step 4: Listening（Section B 2a,2b）
Say, Now I will play a recording of a conversation between Tony and Maria。 This time circle the adjectives you bear on the list for la. Play the recording again。 Students circle the adjectives they hear. Correct the answers。
Call attention to the three headings。 Animal, Maria’s Words and Tony’s Words, and the write-on lines under each.
Say， Now I will play the recording again. This time please write the name of the animals each person talks about and the words they say。
Play the first four lines of recording and stop the tape. Ask, What animal are they talking about？ （the elephant） What words does Maria use to describe the elephant? (interesting, intelligent）
Point out the write-on lines where students can write these words. Play the whole recording and have students write the words they hear on the chart. Check the answers。
Step 5: Reading
Get the Ss to read the conversations after the recording。
Then role reading.
Step 6: Discussing
Let’s discuss what other animals do you want to see ？Try to describe them with more adjs。
Step 7： Pair-work
Ask several students：What other animals do you like？ Why？ Get the Ss to answer．Then get the Ss to ask ad answer in pairs．Get some pairs to act．
Step 8: Make a survey and give a report:
