Step 1 Greeting and Revision (About 10 minutes)
Greet the whole class as usual.
Show some pictures to the students to review what they have learnt from last class.
T：In order to make our school life more interesting, we’ll have a lot of events at school. Do you want to know them? Look at the pictures and describe them with your own words.
T：Now work in pairs to ask and answer question about “what events do you like?” and fill

Step 2 Practice (About 6 minutes)
There is a note on page 48,3a, but many words missing, ask the students to complete the note with the words in the box.
Then ask one student to read the note, others help to check his or her answer.
Step 3 Writing (About 12 minutes)
T：You want to invite your friend to an activity in your school, please write your own note to him or her. Use the questions to help you.
What is your friend’s name?
What does your friend like to do?
What activity do you have in your school?
When is the activity?
Give several minutes to the, students to write the note, then ask some students to read their notes.
Step 4 Self Check (About 15 minutes)
1. T：Look at the chart on page 48, self check 1, there are lots of numbers in the chart, and many blank grids, too. Please complete the chart with the correct forms of the numbers.
2. There are many different holidays in China. Can you tell me the holidays you know and when are the holidays?
Ask some students to talk about the holidays they know, then teacher gives a summary.
