Robert was still struggling in the river. It was clear that he was in danger. He thought that he would die soon if nobody came to help him. Just at the moment, Henry happened to be passing by. Hearing the cry, Henry ran to the riverside, threw off his clothes and jumped into the water quickly. He swam to Robert as fast as possible and helped Robert out just as he couldn’t swim any longer. By his great effort, he saved Robert at last.
Robert’s life was saved. Robert was deeply moved by Henry’s heroic deed and burst into tears. He and his new friends were ashamed at having called Henry a coward. They realized that Henry had true courage and he was a real hero, not a coward. When Robert shook Henry’s hands and said sorry to Henry, Henry forgave him with a smile. Robert and Henry were friends again and after school they went home together happily as usual.
