(引导词) 从句 主 句 当你们在享受泰山旅行的时候,我正忙着为考试做准备。 这是一个由while(当…的时候)引导的时间状语从句,while只与延续性动词连用,表示主句和从句的动作同时发生;而when可与延续性动词或短暂性动词连用。 2. How about exploring Tian’anmen Square? When the teacher came in, we were talking. (come为短暂性动词,所以只能用when.) 当此句改变主从句的位置时,则为: While we were talking, the teacher came in. ㈡when 引导的时间状语从句的动作和主句的动作可以是同时发生,也可以是先后发生;while 引导的时间状语从句的动作和主句的动作同时发生。 ㈢由when引导的时间状语从句,多用一般时态。 主句用过去进行时,从句应用一般过去时;主句用一般将来时,从句要用一般现在时;如果从句和主句的动作同时发生,两句都用过去进行时的时候,多用while引导,如: ①They were singing when I came in.(主句用过去进行时,从句用一般过去时。) ②I will call you when I arrive Beijing.(时间状语从句出现一般将来时,须用一般现在时代替,主句还是用一般将来时。) ③They were singing while we were dancing. (从句和主句都用过去进行时,用while引导。) ㈣ 如主句谓语动词表示的是短暂动作,从句时间状语指一段时间,when /while /as 三者可通用。Eg:  Peter came in while /as when I was watching TV.当Peter进来的时候我正在看电视。  I was watching TV when Peter came in. 当Peter进来时我正在看电视。 ㈤特殊用法:as多用于平行结构。表示两个动作同时发生:一个主语同时进行两个动作,表示“一边。。。一边”,when可用作并列连词,表示“ (突然,这时候)”;while也用作并列连词,表示“而”“却”(表示对比) ①The students took notes as they listened. He sang as he worked. ②I am fat while my brother is thin. 三、课堂训练 I、选择适当的引导词完成句子。 when, while, as, until, not…until, after, before, as soon as… 1. I often go to bed ________ I finish my homework. 2.
