Some people like to join a package tour when they plan a holiday trip. But others prefer a self-service / independent tour. What is your choice? Explain why. Your preference must be based on the comparison of the advantages and disadvantages of the two modes of traveling. 120-150 words
As people's living standards are being improved steadily, tourism are in urgent need of entertainment and relaxation for tourists both in body and mind. Meanwhile, different modes of traveling spring up to cater for people's different tastes. Some like to join a package tour, while others prefer to go on a self-service tour.

Those who prefer to take a package tour give the following reasons. To begin with, during a package tour, visitors have the security of knowing that everything has been arranged, hence they do not need to worry about their accommodation, meals, and transportation. Furthermore, the beautiful natural scenery, delicious food and special local customs which are of high aesthetic value are carefully arranged by professional travel agencies, thus helping visitors to immerse themselves in their process. Moreover, brief but deep introductions from the guides can help visitors to lead to an accurate and in-depth understanding for attractive scenic spots and historical relics.

However, what an independent tour can provide are conspicuous. First of all, an obvious advantage of a self-service tour is its autonomy. Whenever and wherever they go, all are determined by themselves; they can also freely choose any form of transportation, any food they like and hotels they prefer to live in. Next, a close relationship can be developed through a self-service tour. An independent tour can create a special condition for families, lovers and friends to enhance family peace, deepen sentiment and reinforce friendship, which is undoubtedly helpful to cultivate the relationship between them. Last but not least, it can improve visitors' comprehensive qualities, such as the skills to communicate with strangers, to familiarize with a new environment and to coordinate complex things.

In my perspective, I should second the latter, for there is often little time left for visitors to enjoy themselves when going on a package tour. During a package tour, not all destinations are wanted for visitors. Besides, profit-seeking guides even induce tourists to spend more money with false and exaggerated information, coaxing them to buy expensive souvenirs.

In sum, although, compared with a package tour, going on an independent tour is sometimes regarded as a waste of money and lacking the spirits of team cooperation, it brings more merits such as autonomy during a trip and the promotion function for those who keep a close relationship in preference to its demerits. It is also a tendency that an increasing number of people prefer to go on an independent tour.
