The Investigation Report On The Campus Civilization
The Investigation Sites: Xinglong Hill Campus of Shandong University
The Investigation Time：24th November, 2013
The Investigation Purpose: to learn about the contemporary college students' morality, shaping so as to make students have a good image and to create a civilized campus.
The Investigation Survey: all students of Xinglong Hill campus of Shandong University
The Survey Form: questionnaire interviews (80 questionnaires, 69 valid questionnaires were collected.)
Survey Content Digest: college students in their manners and civilized degree and views on the college students' whole civilized etiquette.
The Investigation Process:
1 Establishing the subject of investigation
2 Determination of investigators
3 Write related investigation content
4 Give out the questionaires and interview the students
5 Collect the questionaires and summarizes the content
6 Write down our own feeling from the investigation
7 Write a summary of the investigation report
The Investigation Background：
People often say that the university campus is "Ivory Tower", "Pure Land" and think college students as "social pride", "era elite," while some students feel confused and depressed because of the "dirty behavior atmosphere" ,which lead to the terrible campus environment.. Shihezi University held a campaign ,the theme of which is"Defacement Book Exhibition" They featured more than 200 copies of defaced books, such as oil, flooding, graffiti, torn pages and so on. According to reports,defacing books is very common phenomenon in various universities. The fundamental reason of the phenomenon is that people’s lack of public awareness.
In our campus , there are indeed some uncivilized behavior. So, we launched a survey on the civilization of campus.
Statistics Of The Questionaires Results:
1. In libraries, school buildings and other public places, will you pay attention to whisper something to others?
(Very careful: 90% , sometimes forget :10%, often forget:0%, never cared 0%)
2When you met your teachers,will you offer to say hello?
(Always 35%,when met the familiar,they can:60%,occasionally:5%,never:0%)
3. After the self-study ,will you bring garbage out of the classroom?
(Always 55%, sometimes 35%, be reminded:10%, not 0%).
4. Will you take the initiative to remove the chairs and library books back when you leave the places?
(Always 80%, when I remember 10%,when it was advised :8%, do not have this sense:2%).
5. For college students’ intimate behavior in public places, what about your view?
(Disgusted 25%,;no special feeling:but think this is wrong 60% ,recognized their behavior :0%, it does not matter 15%).
6. During class ,will you mute the phone is turned off or adjust it?
(Will be 95%, an important lesson will be 0%, will be when the teacher remind :0%.often not :5%).
7. Will you be conscious to line up when you are in the canteen?
(of course:85%, when people are few will be 5%, sometimes when anxious will cut the queue:10%, never :0%).
8. Will you pay attention to be quiet when there are some roommates sleeping?
(Very careful :60% , when reminded will be: will forget when I’m excited, will not: 0%)
.9.When you see the Non-stop stream of water, will you offer to stop it?
(Will be 100%, when having good mood will be 0%, regardless because of busy time,0%, not :0%)
10, When you see other people's lost card , what would you do?
(Try to find the owner and return it :25%, handed in the Lost and Found :70%, put into the original place and ignore it :5%, for himself 0%)..
Summary and Conclusion
From these 69 questionnaires, we see that the civility of most students in our school are good, but there are still some students’ civilized manners which needs to be corrected.
The Bad Behavior:
(one) Classroom uncivilized phenomenon
1. Step the footprints on the wall.
2.Mutual copy homework; Simply copy a result to the teacher from Baidu .
3. Cheating in exams, various means: Throw note, SMS, Whispering etc..
4. When the class begins,they will not turn off mobile phone

(two) the library of uncivilized phenomenon
1. Throw away the books they have read, no reduction. Even hading favorite books secretly in the shade.
2. Random hook doodle on the library books, random graffiti, completely as their own textbook.
3. Expired to return the books that they have borrowed.

(three) the dormitory uncivilized phenomenon
1. On the rest time in the dormitory, play cards , sing,which influence others to rest.
2. the upstairs classmate drys wet clothes, regardless of whether are there clothes or quilt at downstairs
3, Waste water and electricity: long light, long flowing water.
4, In the bedroom ,they play mahjong, landlords and other gambling activities.
5, Do not pay attention to personal hygiene.

(four) the canteen uncivilized phenomenon
1, Eat in a wasteful way.
2, No queuing, dining preemption, Crowded disorder.
3, Do not pick up plate after a meal.

(five) other uncivilized phenomenon
1, Stick small advertising, leaflets disorderly in the campus.
2, Behave closely in the public places
3, Bicycles were placed disorderly .
4, Steal the bottles, pour boiling water casually.
5, Occupying seats without order
6, Swearing
7, Fights
8, Steal others’ property
The Analysis Of The Phenomenon About “Bad Behaviors”
First, the negative influence of social environment on college students can not be ignored.
Negative impact mainly external environment on college students in two aspects:
The one is the influence of social atmosphere. Because students in psychology is not mature, many social negative, backward phenomenon reflected in the campus, often make some students lose their original life stance, accept social uncivilized culture, behavior and way of life, causing students uncivilized phenomenon. While some indecency in mass media misleading, which makes students uncivilized behavior spread. From the survey we can know, some students put the film and television works of the hero in the uncivilized behavior such as swearing, fighting as a manifestation of personality as a "fashion".
The two is the impact of peer groups, groups due to its proximity to the age, interests, hobbies and other aspects of the same age, each other to imitate. Uncivilized idea, behavior can easily penetrate each other and influence in college, which is an important factor to cause some uncivilized phenomenon on campus
Second, the phenomenon is caused by it that students often neglect their own ideological and moral cultivation.

College students neglect their own ideological and moral cultivation. It is easy for them to lose the ability to judge the civilization, ugliness as beauty, giving glory to shame, and lifted against the bad social mood invasion defence in thought. We think that college students in these uncivilized phenomenon focus more on personal interests, which not only does exists in the campus, but also there are the phenomena in our society.

Third, the influence of family education. Parents are the first teachers of their children. Now most families have only one child, So parents treat their children as "a pearl in the palm".Most children are spoiled, which makes children have wrong ideas self-centered intangible.They do not know how to respect others and to care for others, Also,they can not endure hardship and lacks in cooperation consciousness. There are some parents their civilization quality are so low that it makes children lose civilization education groundwork. In addition, the exam oriented education makes parents pay too much attention to children's academic performance and the future of further education and employment, neglecting or even discard the civilization and quality education.

Fourth, school education neglect the civilization education

Many students can’t have a clear understanding of civilization. They do not recognize their behavior, resulting in the unconscious civilization. For a long time, from middle school to university education, the educators only attach importance to intellectual education, neglecting of moral education and the behavior standards for middle school students. For example: the school is one-sided, ignoring the civilization education, making the civilized behavior habits which should be developed in the middle and primary schools is. Another example of the university stage, ideological and moral education content tend to focus on cultivating the correct outlook on life and the values of the core task to carry out.They direct the education base on the ideal and belief education and the outlook on life, shaping the values, while they neglected the students’ actual behavior of attention.

Fifth, the lack of supervision. The modern school education of college students lacks supervision of uncivilized phenomenon.They don’t take disciplinary actions on the part of students' appeasement attitude from a certain extent condoned, which makes uncivilized behavior habits spread.

Our Suggestions

First, pay attention to the ideological and moral education of college students, cognitive mistake change. The knowledge of life education, the values of education should be strengthen at the same time as well as the quality of college students basic civilization education. Let them know the importance of good manners.Through the education and guidance pay more attention to improve the ability to analyze problems, and to distinguish between truth and falsehood in order to promote students' consciousness civilization consciousness and enhance the ability to resist erosion behavior .They should take measures to enable students tell what are right and how to behave themselves . At the same time, in the basic education, we should give priority to indoctrination, emphasize the collective effects, constraints, demonstration, and incentive function of the advanced model.Don’t forget the correct orientation of public opinion, supervision and so on.Besides,we are supposed to more pay attention to correct bad behavior and thought.

Second, strengthen the seriousness of the discipline and achieve all-round education school rules according to the specific management system of the party's education policy formulation But also regulate the college students' words ,deeds and moral standards means. Specific rules and regulations, education is an important tip to improve the college students' behavior constraints, undergraduate civilization diathesis. The purpose of strengthening discipline education is to develop students' discipline consciousness so as to make the students consciously abide by the rules and regulations of the school.Only in this way can we create conditions for the formation of a good school spirit, style of study.

Third, strengthen the propaganda,make the school civilization idea rooted people deeply

Fourth, strengthen the supervision of public opinion within the campus, implement the students' self supervision and humanistic education for college students of traditional moral theory

At the end ,we want everyone to be able to act, let us start from the little things, together to create a harmonious environment of university campus love!
