Statement
Part A:
Difference between American and British Versions of Harry Potter Series
About the book Harry Potter, there are two kinds of versions at the earliest time, one kind is called Bloomsbury (British) and another one is Scholastic (American) editions.
When Scholastic was publishing Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone in America, they decided to rename the book Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone.
hey claimed that the American and British uses of the word philosopher were a bit different, so therefore sorcerer was a more appropriate word. Any true Harry Potter fan, American or British, Australian or Hungarian, I'm sure will agree with MuggleMix when we say that decision should not have been made the reasons are:
1) J.K. Rowling said so, therefore it must be true. She says that if she was in a better position, she would have disagreed at the time.
2) It belittles Americans, making it seem as if they do not understand what the word "philosopher" means. Americans are smarter than that.
3) Sorcerer is unspecific. The stone could have belonged to anybody with magical powers in the book. But the British name defines who the stone belongs to and gives the name an entirely different meaning. Sorcerer is a very different word to philosopher.
4) The stone is referred to as the "Philosopher's Stone" throughout J.K. Rowling's original version, never the "Sorcerer's Stone", so why should the most central object of the book be labelled something completely different in the book title, even if its just being published in a different place?
5) How is the word "philosopher" in Britain different from the word "sorcerer" in America?
6) Philosopher's Stone is actually a historical object that people used to search for, while the Sorcerer's Stone has no factual background in real life
Some other changes in the book.
Left ones are the words J.K. Rowling first used in her Manuscript, the right ones are the words the American publisher asked to change to publish.

Part B
The influence of Harry Potter made to influence the network novels. The basic introduce of the book.
Today is the Internet era and an era of pictures. Network refused to print reading, the traditional flat print books have been out of fashion; reading pictures refused to read the text. Who will take their time to read books patiently. However, it is difficult to understand, there is a thick book about millions of words which is so popular in the whole world in the lament sound "books will disappear". But actually, millions of children became the fans of this book and made them back to the library from the console and the network. This wonderful book is the British writer J • K Rowling’s Harry Potter series. Harry Potter, a handsome boy who rides a broomstick and wears a pair of round glasses, has what charm that conquered the global audience J • K Rowling, once a poor single mother but now the richest woman in Britain today, what magic she used produce a reading storm in the Internet Age 1997, J·K Rowling published the first fantasy novel Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. In just ten years, she finished seven novels of Harry Potter series and set off a Harry Potter reading hot in the world. This series of novels translated into more than 60 languages and were sold more than 200 million. It is no longer simply a favorite literature by its readers, but evolved into a cultural phenomenon. Fantasy novels represented by Harry Potter have become a cultural trend in the western. Why Harry Potter series became a cultural trend and accepted by different cultural value system? A major reason is: the magic world Harry Potter created is not the shadow of the real world, but pure human spirit picture which once was a patent of children. However, in such a rich material society, but lost in the spirit of post-modern society, human picture of pure soul do not showed in the traditional literature and modern literary works. The general spirit of the crisis has not the appropriate comfort. Rowling created the Harry Potter largely to meet the people's pursuit of such a pure heart picture.
Conclusion
The readers who read the English versions should read the novel in a new way of Chinese versions for one can get more information and ideas about the world view and the situations of the book. The learn of the book would develop the ability of English.
